I wanted to get a PC so the Alienware x51, looks cool and functions well NICE
Price is decent too but still a lot so I would have to sell my xbox one to help fund this

Then I thought to myself is this worth it? Pcs don't last longer than around 5 years and not too much is upgrade able in the Pc. So i don't really see a point in saving all that money just for it to break.

People is it worth getting a PC if so should I buy a ready made one or build my own ?

Build your own. I've build my first PC around 10 years ago. It still lives with the same stuff in it. Believe me, it isn't true that they'll just survive around 5 years. Though you don't really have to buy an Alienware x51.. Just build one! I play everything (That has come out so far) on Max settings! While it only costed me around 1100,- euro's.

So yeah. Conclusion: Buy one and build it! (my own opinion)

build your own. it's cheaper plus you get features you like.

if someone like me can do it. you can too. it's not that hard. maybe just need patience.

Yes building your own is the best way to go. Just go online and buy each part, component the way you like it.

When you buy them premade, like Dell, Alienware etc. most of your money isn't paying for the specs, but instead paying for the Brand, Paying for the Logo.

If you have the skills to build one then definitely do that way you can customize it to however you want it.

I personally just purchased a cheap premade one and then just upgraded the hell out of it.

It doesn't take any skills though, I think that's the point. If you can buy a cheap premade one and upgrade it, you can buy the parts seperately and put it together yourself, the process is essentially the same.

Please don't buy an Alienware computer, any peasant can build their own computer, it's not hard at all.

just go on Newegg, Amazon, TigerDirect etc .. buy a motherboard, RAM memory, HD, SSD, Processor, graphic card, power supply, a computer case, keyboard and mouse obviously, if you want any help or advice just ask me or anyone else replying i'm sure anyone here is more than capable of giving you great tips on what to purchase.

Edit: a CD-driver is also good, although people barely use CDs nowadays, but wouldn't hurt to get one.

As a Dell/Alienware customer who has an Alienware M14x2, I have one thing to tell you about this machine and all Alienwares.
RUN! Don't even think about buying these overpriced monstrosities! and if you do, NEVER let the warranty expire (That'll be your lifeline)
I've had this laptop for about 3 years and it always craps out every now and then (overheating all the time even when I'm at the desktop screen)
I recommend newegg, they have the good stuff for good prices, stay away from retail!!

And if you know your tech, you can build a pc that surpasses xbone and ps4 for just about 500$

If anything, PC would be a good thing to get, but please don't get an alienware, your only wasting your money on the brand name, bets thing to do is build one form the bottom up.

Since I am a PC owner and PC game as well as console, I can say there are ups and downs to having a PC, you can only get games that come out on PC, graphics are a pain in the ass, overheating from running a game on Ultra or not etc.

TONS on ups and downs, all I can say is that a console is majorly downgraded because of the hardware they have in the system doesn't let it function at 100% with Ultra graphics, usually it's LOW ~ MED. which is what BF4 runs on Xbox360, same with Titanfall, mainly because they are next-gen.

But if you need help on what to decide, no harm done, PM me and we can talk!

Building a PC does pay off, plus it's fun to build one with whatever hardware you want rather than having a manufacturer put random stuff in it. So yes, a PC is totally worth it.

Don't get an Alienware. gr8 b8 m8

Like what some of the fucks here have said: BUILD YOUR OWN.

Now stop jerking it to porn of Japanese girls vomiting in each other's mouths on your mom's eight year old laptop and get working that dead end burger flipping job for some hardware funds. Bitch.
