After 780 Billion Dollars and the most important The Troops / Innocent people who lost their lives and or wounded maimed! Iraq is in danger of falling to ISIS militants! 10 years there and now this, They are calling them more dangerous than Al-Qaeda! The thing is too we had the leader in custody for 4 or 5 years !

They are executing people left and right> What a mess the Middle East.

Oil prices are already high from the Ukraine Crisis and they are going up even more.

The world / humanity is just not getting better.

It's all because of religion--take out or ignore the Islam and viola, there is no longer a meaningful distinction between the Shia Iraqi forces and Sunni ISIS. In a way, they just need to learn how to tolerate others' beliefs and practices in civil matters like we do here in the West (well for the most part). ie: Stop imposing religious laws and governance (Sharia) when not everyone is into that, and let the other people who aren't into that be. Maybe they'll get it eventually, maybe they won't...currently it looks like they're going in the wrong direction with all these super Islamic governments popping up over there, but at this point it ain't our problem. We gave them democracy on a silver platter and they don't seem to care, especially given they're running away from an enemy orders of magnitude weaker than them.

Its so..sad.. :/ This world is really scrapping the bottom of the barrel atm. We got the ongoing crap in Ukrain, and Iraq, and are dealing with political corruption all over the world every day. Hopefully man kind can eventually mature past this constant point of ignorance.

I think it's just the Military-industrial Complex creating a loophole where they keep spending money nonstop, i don't know if you're familiar with the website Vice, but they have amazing documentaries on this exact subject, not long ago where they purchased a handful of russian military helicopters, i believe they spent 1 billion dollars on that little purchase, and all those helicopters are sitting at the helipad unused since its purchased due to lack of pilots and maintance.
Another great example is a power plant they're spending billions on to provide electricity to a small city in the middle east but it is getting cut out by rebels and they keep spending billions to keep the power plant running yet it doesn't prove energy to anyone, it just sits there as well doing nothing.

Going into Iraq in the first place was a big mistake. Sadaam was a terrible tryant, but he also was the only thing holding that country together. Iraq is made up of 3 different ethnic groups that don't like or trust each other. Add to this that the current Shia led government has been enacting policies that make Sunnis feel like they are being oppressed (probably in retaliation for how the Sunnis treated the Shia when Sadaam was in power) it is no wonder a Sunni led terrorist group is trying to overthrow the current government.

The peoples of that particular region have been at war/fighting amongst themselves and others for ..oh about the last ten thousand years,so it is unlikely to end in any near future. All military/police actions taken by outsiders in the past 30-50 years were only to bolster the bank account of those whose deal in arms and armor/weapons or petrochemicals.Which is a real shame considering how many people we and others have sacrificed at the altar of $$$,but until a majority of civilized humans stand up and say this is wrong and hold those responsible accountable,we are not done with such matters.

Not to turn this into a religious debate, but if you remove religion they'll just find other reasons to kill each other and go to war. Tolerance is indeed a problem, but religion plays less of a factor than you think.

I was in Afghanistan for 7 months while in the marines. To be honest, I had no idea while we were there, our command just said "just do as told, don't ask questions"
