I tend to avoid people who are:

A. Martyrs - i.e, always giving a sob story about everything. I'm very empathic and a sympathetic person, but after a while, I get tired of the crap.

B. Excessively dramatic - it grates on the nerves pretty quickly - at least that's the case for me. I love extroverted, high energy people, but people who gossip excessively and live on drama are just too much for me to handle.

C. Excessively arrogant - sometimes, people can be a little prideful; it's human nature. However, I absolutely can't stand people who are excessively arrogant and believe they're better than others and have the attitude that immediately gives off that impression.

Refuses to admit they're wrong. Annoys me to no end when people try to blame everything and everyone else for their problems, or try to make others take responsibility for their own faults. The retail horror stories feature these guys often. They're just so unreasonable and self-centered!

Angry, arrogant, impatient, ignorant, too-talkative, narcissist. I'd say they're all equally bad. Obviously we can often feel like the things I listed from time to time, but if it's your defining personality trait there's a problem, bar the talkative one since some people will gladly talk till the Sun goes down.

People that are very self-pitying and seek sympathy from others all the time, and sometimes try to guilt them into doing what they want.
For me, I'm not very empathetic at all and it's just annoying. A moderate amount is fine, but some people just overdo it. I don't feel bad for them at all. However, if somebody seeks sympathy and comfort, I do actually try to help as much as I can. I just suck at sympathizing with people and it's rather troublesome.
I feel like I sound mean by saying it but man it just irks me to no end when somebody feels bad for themselves and tries to convince others to as well. I mean with trivial things, anyway. If some horrible thing happens to somebody, then of course I'm not gonna get annoyed. But some people act as if the most trivial things will make me want to cry for them or something.

People who do things just to look cool/fit in. Like when people smoke pot just to look cool and insulting random people in front of their friends to look bad ass.

My least favorite kind of people are the ones that are closed minded.

It's my biggest pet peeve. It doesn't take much to be open minded, everyone is different. But all the time I see people looking down on me for my own tastes, or other people for theirs. So what if some people are gay, how does it affect you at all? So what if I like metal music and anime, it's not like I'm forcing you to sit down and watch it.

It vexes me when people put themselves above somebody as their taste or morals or whatever are superior to someone else's when in reality, it doesn't fucking matter.

I'm not even expecting people to try to move out of their own comfort zone. But judging someone because they like Justin Beiber is asinine on so many levels it makes my head hurt. I fucking hate Justin Beiber, but it's not like my opinion is law. Some people really like him and it's ludicrous to act pompously, as it only makes me look like a snob.

Though I also get very annoyed by people who talk too much. I'm the kind of person that tends to keep to himself though.

People who are aggressive for no reasons. Passive-aggressive.

People who manipulate stuff. Like in the workplace. But I don't really care, I'm not scared of being fired at all.

Prejudiced people. It disturbs me when people think I'm a thug because I live in the poor area of sydney. Or they won't come to my house at night because they think their car get vandalised.

I've lived here for years and not a single thing happened to me.

1) Ignorant people, or people who are not open minded.
2) Hypocrites.
3) Overly-masculine assholes (Those dudes who try too hard to prove their masculinity, such as working out excessively, over drinking thinking it's cool to get shit faced, only want women for the sex and look down on those who don't "hit it" when they are around the opposite sex, disrespect women in an effort to win over immature girls, these people tend to have a very small vocabulary, and favor words such as gay, faggot, p**sy, overly curses, and overall simply shits on anyone who is not the meathead they are.)
4) Overly religious people, those who push their beliefs on others, and condemn them to hell for disagreeing
5) 'Murikans
6) The one-upper/drama queen. You know this type, whenever something bad happens, these types are the first to try and shift the attention towards themselves by one upping the problem at hand example - alex got sexually harrassed at work today, so megan tells everyone of the time she was molested on a public bus
7) The emo/whiner. Not to be mean, but in many suburban communities, there are those who grow up and try to differentiate themselves by convincing themselves that the world just doesn't understand them, or that their childhood was bad and they had a horrible life when their parents read them a bedtime story when they were kids and their parents make dough enough to live in the suburbs. Newburgh isn't exactly the best place to live, in fact it's one of the worst neighborhoods in New York, but we got by day by day and appreciated the small things we did have, so when I moved for college (I was fortunate academically), running into these types of people really irritated me.

I can think of more, but these are the ones that I hate the most
