Although from somewhere, I heard the director is interested in adapting 9 volumes so a possible split-cour is likely. Silver Link has never done a split cour before so I'm not optimistic about it.

They would need a big number of eps for 9 vols, none of them are short and simple enough to be put in 1 or 2 episodes. They could try but no good would come out of it. My guess is still first 3 vols for 12 eps as the end of vol 3 should be big enough for the anime. I don't know the sales numbers for the books, but I don't think they are big enough for them to risk more than one cour.

I was hoping the anime would go to at least vol 5 but if it's not that many episodes I wouldn't want them to cut out a lot of details

First episode is now up.

Episode 1

That was fairly cliched and stuff, but the characters sure are an interesting bunch to say the least. Let's see how things go with this loser bunch trying to get their act together all while Ohtori has a bone to pick with those who use magic.

I like the story seems like lots of potential love characters in a show with flaws and the platoon has a lot of issues going keep going with this anime

Episode 1

Despite being really cliche and generic, I actually thought the episode was decent considering that it stays true to its premise and doesn't fool around with some of the serious stuff, particular at the end. The action was nice too in terms of content and choreography.

The character designs obviously reminds me of Nourin. As for Ootori, I think we'll learn more about her soon. So in general, slightly surprised by the adaptation so far.

I'm a giant Silver Link fan. So I obviously really liked this.

Yes it's a bit generic and I didn't like how the story kind of skipped ahead and skipped around here and there, but overall I am very pleased. I like all the characters thus far especially Bunny Girl.

The only eye-roll moment I had was with the cliche anime trope of the accidental fall and boob-grab. Even I am getting tired of that.

Even with that I can already tell this will be an enjoyable series for me at least.

On a side note, has anyone seen or heard who picked up the other SL series I Was Abducted by an Elite All-Girls School as a Sample Commoner (Syomin Sample)?

Thanks for the heads up. Will check it out later.

Note one - but three cases of "the accidental pervert", along with a whole host of other cliches and tropes. Does not bode well.

Meh, not for me. I can stand levels of generic and cliche, but I guess not for this series...

Episode 1: Move Out! Small Fry Platoon!

Ah there's the other fantasy battle ecchi high school harem I was looking for. I mean he didn't walk into her changing but bunny outfits work too. And ironically her name is Usagi. She's my favorite so far cause she's ditzy and I like ditzy. Also she's pretty developed.

There is a lot of promise here. I feel like this first episode was kind of rushed though. But I guess they wanted to showcase as much as they could to draw some viewers in.

Waiting to see Kusanagi shut the haters down for using a sword. So what are you gonna use when your gun runs out of bullets? HA. Swords are useful in their own way.

Anyways average first episode, shows a lot of promise, probably going to touch upon Ootori's past and Kusanagi and his sword skills and his little sister. But I liked it.

Episode 1

Second drop of the season.

Was only slightly interested in this since I ptr the LNs at one point but never did.

Heard the second half was slightly more interesting and it was but basically skimmed through the first half just to get to that point.

Probably not missing out on much, this would likely be mediocre at best anyways.

Plus have Gakusen Toshi Asterisk to watch instead which is a similar type anime but one that I actually find somewhat enjoyable compared to this.

Edit: Also heard there might be a possibility this might be 2 cour/split cour thus more reason to drop this to not waste my time.

Couldn't agree more.

Cliche but quite amusing episode. Need to take some time and watch the other two generic magical-school anime to see which one better. I will keep this one for now.

Well this was certainly the less generic of the harem shows this season.. Though we still seemingly get the overly serious red-head main heroine. Sadly busty bunny girl will be left in the cold i fear :(

Also it does poke a bit of fun at using a sword and i can't help but feel other bits. So at least it's self-aware if only partially.. So that's a plus. But we got the characters sorted out a bit. Some things were hinted at. Action looks alright. Humour is pretty decent too.

Guess we'll see where this goes.

ep 1

The MC seems pretty cool. I mean, he likes flat chests. And by the looks of it, he has a demonic side to him. Don't really care for the other characters, but the girl at the end might make me think otherwise.
