Nan. judging by the thread alone we have a quite a few salty, bitter and possibly burnt out anime fans on CR haha.

Not that I'm judging or anything mind you. Just an observation.

ep 1

and still better than the first episode of asterisk war

even though this had its fair share of tropes, I still liked it better for some reason

also damn it usagi, you had one job lol

I'm beginning to get sick of seeing swords in anime though

You should see the Gangsta, some people are so burnt out/bitter/salty that they'll even find reasons to hate a great show....and call it and I quote "a huge disappointment"

Yea but this had a pretty good first ep.

Not bad, not bad. I really wish they'd have skipped the cliche trip/boob gag. Made me facepalm it's been used so much already this season. I think getting conked by the armour and passing out in her cleavage would have been enough and avoided a well overused trope for something vaguely less trope-y that better fit the comedy style they seem to be going for.

I'm not entirely sold on the series. I still don't get why they're wearing belts across their chests beyond to emphasize the women's chests. But I'm adequately intrigued to give it the three episode trial. I like the animation style and the characters look like they could be fun to watch so here's hoping.

same. Swords is really that one recurring trope over every other one. At least they're making fun of it here. So it does seem a bit more self-aware than others.. I hope.

Who would ever say that?

And this episode was rushed as hell The stuff they covered in this episode could have easily made for two or three. It seemed to me like a bunch of stuff was cut, there was a definite lack of transitional scenes. Kind of a messy first impression to make in my opinion.

Plus I don't like how the breasts are drawn, they look weird

Episode 1

Decent start, but it was extremely rushed compared to the manga, I mean severely rushed. It missed a significant amount of character development and it's lighter in terms of tone (the fanservice too but I'm sure many prefer that it was toned down). So many flashbacks and important details got pushed aside, heck episode 1 breezed through 7 chapters of the manga pretty poorly and I don't like it. I just hope it doesn't rush any further than this, but either way I'm gonna keep on watching and see where it goes from here on out.

Episode 1

First of all, I thought the fight scenes were great. The premise is interesting enough, but there are some problems.
First, fan service and the accidental falling + boob grab made me cringe. Second, why was the orange haired chick allowed to be a witch hunter by her adopted "dad," if he knew her past.

As usual, MC has an OP power, but they didn't show it. Also, he was surprisingly unfazed after seeing a room full of corpses, so I'm wondering what happened to him more than anyone else. I also liked that he hated the stupid fan service as much as I did.

Also, since they mentioned his dead sister, it most likely means she is secretly alive (and probably evil).

All in all, it is pretty generic, but I love the gun play and concept, so I'll stick around for this show (but I'll easily drop it)

Chivalry: "I won't make any excuses for walking in on you getting dressed, so I'll just strip and call it even."

Anti-Magic: "I'm sorry for grabbing your boob, but I like flat chests better."

At least these kids are getting more creative when encountering old tropes...

But seriously, what is it with half the anime this season starting out with that?

Wait, this is the toned down version of the fan service? Cripes.

I was already about to toss this one in the bin for the pointless fan service but that seals it.
