I've seen a lot of em out there. And I'm sure most of you guys have too. Have any of you guys ever seen them around Youtube? By looking at the comments or videos? What are your thoughts about them? And what's the best thing to do to solve the problem?

I have one way to solve the problem, don't reply to them.

I second that ^. My thoughts are that they're laughable, so I do just that and laugh at their comments.

They're always going to be there no matter what. The steps for dealing with them are as follows:

1. Never reply no matter what.
2. Click the Mute / Ignore option next to their name (or ban if they're commenting on one of your videos)
3. Move on with your life.

That's pretty much it.

theres this one youtube user that trolls on a bunch of jblogers vids by making multiple accounts and claiming to be a different person for each negative comment she posts. That right there is trolling to the max

They annoy me. Interestingly, some can be talked out of their trolling moods. It takes practice and a bit of a silver tongue, but it's an interesting experience that's arguably worth the effort.

Yeah, just ignore 'em. they feed off your negativity and spit out even more negative things. there's a lot of them on facebook, too. i don't really go on facebook much anymore. or read the comment section unless I happen to be leaving a comment. the pages and comment sections are too corrupt with idiots.

I don't feed them. I disable all the replies on my comments except if I'm asking something I really want an answer even if a stupid troll decides to reply.

Just ran across a decent amount of them during the last 12 hours (too many during the last 24), and while I always get the urge to reply to them, I always change my mind halfway through and just go to another video. They're not worth my time.

Some of them are so damn frustrating I can't help but replying to them tho. I'm giving in to them, but can't do anything about it.

I don't believe I've ever fed a troll, at least not purposefully; perhaps by accident, in My Life. It's simply THAT easy.

I've come across a few, I remember commenting on a video for battleloggers in battlefield 3 where they were stealing enemy tanks. the N00b (one of the battlefield friends) stole an atv and was successful of driving it out of the base. so I commented "Shit guys they stole our atv, Game over man, GAME OVER!" one guy then proceeded to say it would have been worse if it was a tank, then an argument formed as I watched.

I think 90% of youtube is trolls, and I don't reply to them

They are annoying and really irritates me because sometimes the stupidity they put into it is ridiculous and makes me weep for humanity.

I deal with them by not replying to them because all they're looking for is ATTENTION. Don't feed the troll.

I get accused of being a troll all the time on forums, commenting sections and in games just because I often have a different opinion to other people but flesh out my reasons why and sometimes can come across a bit strong.

The term trolling has gotten a bit out of control as of late because it's pretty much used as a way to end a discussion or argument when the other person is either losing or can't be bothered to continue.

Here's a light example. I'll use something like League of Legends.

"Wow Quinn is a TERRIBLE bot lane ADC"

"I don't think so, I use her all the time, I just don't think other people have figured out that she needs to be played differently. You just have to build her differently, go semi-bruiser mid to late game"

"Shut up Troll /discussion"

If a person is just blatantly insulting or clearly trying to annoy everybody else just for attention then yeah, they're trolling and the best course is to just ignore them or don't reply, but I see the term being thrown around way too much and almost always out of context in situations they don't have the effort to deal with.
