Light Yagami, Death Note. No question that he's a messed-up egomaniac, thinking that with his Death Note that he could rid the world of injustice. But then he starts messing the authorities, and that's when it became clear that he is a despicable person. He's pretty much like Lelouch with one big difference: Lelouch had a very good reason to do what he did even if the approach wasn't exactly without controversy. Light had absolutely no reason to go through all that and to mess with the detectives, which is why Lelouch is loved while Light is loathed.

What separates Light and Lelouch was that Lelouch had morals.

Didn't Lelouch shatter those morals, though?

Also Madara Uchiha for plot hijack.

Can you give me some examples of how Lelouch shattered his morals?

I guess not so much his morals as mine, now that I think on it. I just thought that was always the premise of his character - he gets shit done, but the way he does it isn't exactly right.

When he killed the original leaders of the Japan Liberation front to further his own goals. Though, I think he was totally in the right, it was rather against his initial morals.

A good haircut can dramatically improve a man's appearance...

Well, to be fair, after a *ahem* certain event that occurs in the middle of the series, Lelouch becomes a good bit less stable. At least, I always saw the latter part of the series as being, more or less, his epic plan to achieve his goals in a way that would make pretty much everyone hate him, as a form of penance. I'm pretty sure his plan wasn't supposed to end the way it did at first, but after that incident, his plan was changed.

I don't think his morals "changed" per se, but the ends he was intending to achieve did change.

No, he killed them before that certain event. Episode 13 is when he kills them, far before what you referenced.

Oh, my bad. I haven't watched the show in a few years, so I must have had the sequence mixed up.

Most so-called "perfect" blond haired males.
They simply irritate me to death.
One of the few that I was actually able to stand was Usui from Maid-sama, can't think of any other that didn't repulse me.
