I'm not seeing anything that looks like an advertisement in that screenshot. Make sure you're logged in next time you see an ad, as I seem to get logged out randomly every once in a while.

I would suggest checking if there are any suspicious plugins on your web browsers. Some plugins might add advertisements on web pages. I remember that I once had text link ads on random words from any pages and it was because of a stupid plugin that was installed from a game or something.

The only ad I see on that page is the background ad, and it only appears when I permit scripts to run for adtechus.com and googleadservices.com. (Specifically, it appears when the former is enabled, but isn't properly formatted until the latter is):

If you are seeing something else, it is no doubt caused by some adware that has snuck onto your system. With the number of installers these days that like to sneak in little "extras", it isn't hard for it to happen if you are not very attentive.

I'm pretty sure Rokenix is referring to the empty spaces in the screenshot. It looks like the ads are blocked, but they shouldn't appear in the first place. That may be due to adware though.

If that's the case, then Adblock either isn't configured correctly or isn't as effective as NoScript. This is how that same page normally looks to Firefox on my system:

It seems odd that for Rokenix the top panel, which is the main content of the ad, would be completely removed (as it is for me) while the sides still retain some type of placeholder.

Temporarily disabling Adblock so that what is supposed to be there could be seen might be useful. If it is the normal ad that everyone else sees, then it is a problem with Adblock (either configuration or effectiveness). If it is something else, then an investigation of what else might be installed as a browser add-on or on the system itself would be in order.

Frankly, downloading and running Malware Bytes wouldn't hurt regardless of there is a problem or not.

You have a lot going on there. FRAPS+Adblock along with what I imagine is a lot of other items.

Clear Chrome's saved files and see if it persists.
