Today my long term boyfriend has decided that it is best that we break up.
I'm honestly crushed and I was hoping I could make some friends here and also find out how everyone has coped in the past with a break-up.
My self confidence has completely plumetted - I have depression and it has just really wrecked that. I don't feel pretty at all nor do I feel like I can move on or will be wanted by someone else in the future.
I feel really ugly and just sad xD
Advice will be appreciated and yes I am always happy to make new friends here :3
Thank you <3<3

Pshh your too young to be feeling that way but I went through what your talking about when I was 15 though I didn't take the best approach um I'd say that the smart thing to do is find some independence find something productive to focus your time and energy into but chances are that's not what you'll do since your young lol =/

Advice I gave myself was that "time heals all wounds".

and well, just talk to another person, like an anonymous counsellor... I find that it helps for me to speak to someone I don't know, and female... because I feel uncomfortable talking about relationship problems with men.

Wow, you're so young.

Why did you like a guy to begin with? Are you stupid or something?

xD He's been my best friend since I was like 12. I naturally don't want to lose him - ever.
Also like I said it's my self confidence that is the real problem here

First of all, I'm sorry to hear that. I know exactly how you feel. I dated a girl for 2 years and then one day she just wanted to call it quits. All I can say is give it time. That's what I did and slowly I started to feel better. You're still young and there are plenty of other chances to find love.

School relationships are mostly meaningless regarding your looks. Who cares about confidence, you have youth, energy. Go ahead and use it. Don't rely on boys, they can barely rely on themselves. At least I can't rely on myself at all.

I'm sorry about that too. Time helps with everything, I know it does - but it's tough losing someone who is so important to me.

There is no age where you have to start or stop loving, so I don't agree with the disrespect from others. On the other hand, you have tons of time to heal and let someone come to you. Don't rush anything, don't do anything rash and don't soak in your depression. Take time to mourn, then get back on your feet. Get your self situated and come join us again with a smile on your face!

P.S The only one who decides if you're beautiful or ugly is your self. Carry yourself up high and strong, people are going to see that confidence, not your looks.

Age to love didn't cross my mind. I assume you have some internal issues.

Hi! I'm really nowhere near someone who should be giving Relationship advice to Others, but I just wanted to say Good luck to You! And like someone else in the Thread has said, You're Young! You still have plenty of time to find that Other Person in Your Life that could be Your "forever friend", and though I don't know You...I'm absolutely sure that You will. Ganbatte, My Friend! And don't push too hard...You never know when that Person may just happen upon You out of the clear Blue sky. Everything will be okay.

Natier- No, Just stating the obvious. Why can't a teenager fall in love? Do you have a scientific answer to that? Yes, your brain is not fully developed at that time, but you still harness the feeling of love. I think your negativity can go elsewhere. =)

Whatever you do don't listen to sad and romantic songs. Upbeat break up music helped me. I also wrote an angry letter to my ex, but never sent it.
