I live in Pa. Not much to do around here, except the west side of the city where there are nice cafes, restaurants and shops. However this city is not one of the best. I live 5 min outside the city. Plus we got a pagoda xD

Toledo, Ohio. We have an amazing zoo which is considered to be one of the most complete in the world and has been voted top zoo in the US. The Toledo Symphony Orchestra is pretty well known also. Then we have really nice parks, museums and the Valentine Theatre and while Sandusky gets to actually claim Cedar Point we are at least close enough to go there often without ever needing to worry about motels or anything.

Unbelievable, another Toledoan! I actually live in Springfield, which has all the access to the benefits you mentioned without the ridiculous crime rates. Also we're farther from the '05 than the rest of Toledo ('05 refers to area code 43605, a special place where mullets and NASCAR tee shirts can live free and happy). I was beginning to think I was the only person in Northwest Ohio that liked anime.

I live in a... hmm... "special" (sarcasm) town called Rotherham, that resides in England. It's close to the city of Sheffield, which is probably more well known. There's not really much to do there, sadly. It has no real outstanding features. There's a little village nearby called Wentworth, that has a manor and some dams which are very picturesque, they make for a good walk if you like that sort of thing.

A fun little fact for any Arctic Monkey fans: The song Fake Tales of San Francisco mentions my town with the following;

"You're not from New York City, you're from Roherham."

Toledo is pretty great when it comes down to it but crime definitely is getting worse. Used to be able to say that it didn't really affect us too much where we are (Border of Toledo and Holland) but break-ins are getting more common even here. Neighbor informed us that our house was being looked at as a target and she helped notify management and stuff. Have to say though that I still like it here despite that. I am glad though that I don't find myself in the NASCAR and mullet zone.

Nice to see someone else from OK that likes anime. Other than my best friend that moved to PA and my oldest sister i have not met anyone here that likes anime. it maybe because i don't actively pursue anime friends, but the anime fans seem to be a rare breed in my daily life.

Yeah same here. I only know about three people who are interested in anime as much as I am.
