so last names..... everybody's got'em but how do you feel about yours? do you like it? hate it? was it made into a nickname that was used by bullies?

mines St. John, all of my friends back in high school liked to call me Mr. St. John (which got really annoying). when there's a automated call bot that leaves me a message it always calls me Street John (they call me that at work), I've had some teachers spell it Saint John which I can assure you I'm not a saint, and I got in trouble in middle school with a substitute teacher because I said my dads name was John St. John (yes I'm not lying that is real name)

I guess I like it, but I get funny looks from some.....

Suarez, translated to "swine herder" in spanish. It's a fairly popular last name, but not too over used like Martinez, Sanchez, Lopez, etc. In high school, my football coach nick named me "Rico Suave" because of my last name, then when I started dating one of the cheerleaders, it spread to the school. I both liked and despised the name. I liked it because it made me somewhat of a celebrity among my peers, to the point I was among the top of the school hierarchy, but I also despised it because the name inherently portrayed me as something I wasn't.

Mines Hebler and most people who don't know better pronounce it as "he blur" so I got the occasional person making Keebler elf jokes in school. It didn't really bother me much though and I rarely bothered correcting people.

Is it any better that I went to Alexander Anderson from Hellsing instead? Not really any better as far as gender goes though....

Because I'm European, most people in Australia pronounce my last name wrong since they read it the way you pronounce English letters of course. I learned to live with it.

I like my surname. Chea (pronounced with a soft j like jeer but softer) Tun (middle name, it doesn't rhyme with fun) Samnang (pronounced Som-narng and doesn't rhyme with bang).

Chea Tun Samnang = a person who is blessed with extreme luck and good health.

It's kind of true. I thought I had really bad health, until I worked as a scientist in a kids hospital; some of these kids have a lot of diseases I don't know how they could survive with so many; makes me appreciate medicine and how far humans have progressed with medical science.

And made realize I actually am a healthy person in comparisons to these kids. Like I shouldn't be complaining about flu and tonsillitis. These are nothing compared to the diseases I've encountered.

My last name is Schagane (pronounce: Shag-a-knee) I got a lot of shit for my last name in high school... especially after the Austin Powers movies came out .... but I didnt take all the criticism for nothing! I love my last name and wouldn't change it for the world (and i'm dead serious about that because i'm married and didn't take my husbands last name)

With a name, age, and city a person can run a complete background check for like $5.

Be careful whom you share your personal information with.

Wouldn't be the first time I had my background checked by random internet peple. Last person only found information about my brothers arrest though. I would just hope if someone did it that they would let me know what they found since I'm curious. xD
