So long as it's functional immortality suspended in the prime of life.

I'd end up being a force that provides history and I'd be able to dedicate several lifetimes trying to advance humanity as an intergalactic civilisation.

I have no intention of being immortal, but I will live strongly, happily and bravely, with zero fear of death no matter what. Don't know about you guys.

I would say yes.

Death to me is just a permanent loss of consciousness, so if I ever wanted to, I could "imitate" death, so to speak.

Why yes, I would be sad when my friends died, I'd eventually get over it and they'd be wonderful memories to have.

The benefits is that I would get to see the world evolve, I'd get to experience everything that will happen in history from this point forward - almost infinitely long until the universe collapses on itself, which would be the final death to even immortals.

If I was like Jack Harkness from Doctor Who, I could stop criminals who are extremely dangerous, and I wouldn't have to worry about injuring myself.

Plus I would have enough time to learn and master pretty much every language on earth.

I think I might end up like the Doctor, slightly broken and looking for a companion, haunted by my past companions, but in the end I think that immortality, the human dream, would be too amazing of an experience to pass down.

nah. I'm pretty sure they'll only die once.:P

I don't get too attached to people, and tend to live with an odd perspective. I like to think of time on massive scales, and for day to day life, tend to take it as it happens.... I don't get too attached to people, and have no problem with the way relationships can grow closer or fade over time... It's just a fact of life.

So immortality seems like a perfect fit for my personality, however, I would like to be assured that I would have eternal youth with the package. XD

it would be hard to constantly start a new life ones your family meaning girlfriend/wife, kids if any die. And if you have siblings then ones they die so does all those memories that you share with them.
I'm not including parents since that's a pain we have to face one day. Hopefully a long time from now

I WOULD NOT LIKE TO LIVE A DAY LONGER THAN MY ONE AND ONLY LOVE.

I'm a sadistic person and think being immortal is something I want, of corse i understand that I'd have to watch everyone die but i think being immortal would make you a stronger person to the point that you could relate to almost everyone, I could be the greatest teacher and represent humanity in wars and stuff as if they were my little sports, eventually however I would be alone in a world to myself which I wouldn't want but hey, up until there life seems pretty fun. Ignorant as it sounds I think that I personally would turn into one of those masochists using life as my own toy

I would live longer than everyone I know, I would see worlds collapse, people die, great powers rise up and fall down.
No, No I would not take it, all the experiences you would have would more than likely degrade your mind and lead you to the realm of insanity.
That and eventually it would get boring.

Never, I think living till your like 70 is too long. Whats the point of living if your too old to do anything and all your loved ones and friends are gone?
