No UK? This is why we all need a more united EU so that we can get an EU licence rather than having to have individual licences. If it were as easy to get as a US license then maybe crunchyroll would try harder to get us anime like this. Maybe we'd even have a decent amount.

So have to watch the prequels before watching this....don't know if I'm for it, but I guess it won't hurt to try soon.

There are no prequels. This is a new series based on the manga, so it will be starting from the beginning, and leaving out all the filler that was in the original series.

Well yes, I noticed this is a "alternate version" when I checked on MAL.
But, are you saying that this will be a remake, like let's say, FMA:B and HxH2011, or will it be a whole alternate story?
If it is the latter, I still feel like I must check out the original work.

Yes, this is supposed to be a more faithful version.

The original series began only a month after the manga did, so it was inevitable it would have a lot of filler. I believe a lot of people familiar with the original series will be shocked at how far it will get in only 26 episodes.

Hmm, I see. Yes, if it is as you say, I can easily imagine all the filler the original must've had.
Then I suppose I can keep putting the original on my to-watch list for a while longer.
Thanks.

I think it's staying true to the manga. In fact, the new art of the characters look a lot like the original manga, and personally, I'd rather have it feel like it's "stuck in the 90's" because it's tribute to the original series and especially the old fans. I think it'll attract enough interest from new fans, too.

Really?, just a month after the manga did?, wow I didn't know that . Then I can expect a lot of changes between Crystal and the original.

Toei was really urged to start the animation of the manga back then for sure

The preview is a bit wonky but i'm going to hold off judging until I see the first episode. I hope it's really good.

I'm curious if it will be 1 or 2 episodes every two weeks? If 1 episode then they are trying to drag on the series if 2 episodes then maybe it's just a timing thing with the TV stations in Japan.

The preview I saw doesn't really hint at much humor like the original series. Hope it doesn't take itself too seriously, the wacky bits of the original is part of the charm.

Is Kotono Mitsuishi the only original cast member? Keiko Han (Luna) and Toru Furuya (Tuxedo Kamen) were just here at Animazement in Raleigh NC, I know they're still active in the biz.
