I often describe video game strategy guides as being "Against my religion". I never buy or use them. On the rare occasion that I get completely stuck in a video game and am forced to look online, I feel completely disgusted with myself. The feeling is so strong, that I have spent weeks stuck in one spot, or simply given up when stuck. I sometimes avoid manuals for fear of spoilers. I even hesitate to look up the glitches I experience.
Do you have a religious-like conviction of your own?

I feel the same when asking other people for any kind of help, especially for financial help. I'm pretty much self-sufficient and would rather try to fix my own problems and take care of my own needs by myself. It takes an extremely difficult situation and an equal amount of guts before I actually decide to finally ask people for help.

I feel the same way. It's as though you are not a true gaming fan if you are willing to look up walkthroughs. I mean, when we were kids these damn games were no problem, but now our minds are surrounded by quick fixes due to "adulthood". I had no problem with the water temple in ocarina of time in the past, now I just get mad at my self for looking up how to do it. Is it tiredness? Lazyness? oldness? haha I have not a clue, but I try to stick to trying everything I possibly can and if I ABSOLUTELY cannot progress further...I look it up. >.>

Are we supposed to answer in relation to whether we play videogame's like OP does?

When I'm playing a basketball video game and I couldn't diminish my opponent's lead, my first reaction is to press the reset button of the console and start all over again. But I stop.

I begin to think that I should play the game thru on thru. To the very end. To the last minute. To the last second.
Rely on my team mates more and follow the team play, regardless if i would lose.

Oh, look at the religious-like conviction of mine. Only on NBA 2K12 - 14.

I don't know.

I'm a pretty hardcore non-religious, non-spiritual person and atheist. So I despise anything to do with religion; even the simple ritual of funerals--I hate it, and refuse to go to one. Appreciate people when they're alive, not when they're dead and can no longer hear your cheesy speech.

Even if it's my mum, I will tell her how it is, "Religion/god is bullshit"... then she'll reply with, "There are a lot of things we don't know"...

Yeah there is a shit-ton of things we don't know, but that doesn't mean we should make up stuff to fill in that knowledge hole/gap. Or if we're gonna make a guess, claim it as a guess, and not pass it off as "fact" and base our lives on it.
