Crunchyroll sells some mask that cover half the face, are we talking about these mask? (cuz I'd wear these)

Or like full face protective mask?

Or Ski-mask for the criminally inclined

The rules in Cali are

CALIFORNIA Penal Code Section 182-185

185. Section One Hundred and Eighty-five. It shall be unlawful for any person to wear any mask, false whiskers, or any personal disguise (whether complete or partial) for the purpose of: One--Evading or escaping discovery, recognition, or identification in the commission of any public offense. Two--Concealment, flight, or escape, when charged with, arrested for, or convicted of, any public offense. Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.

So it's totally fine so long as you don't commit any crimes.

It's California.....Farting in an automobile, can get you arrested for violating their emission standards (dramatic exaggeration). Liberal Totalitarians for smokers and gun owners get the deaf penalty (they curse you loudly until you go deaf or die). I kilt a man in California but it was OK I didn't use a gun and properly disposed of the body through green fuel usage, it was justifiable as he was smoking (Tobacco) in a public place. (exaggeration - for the hell of it). I was really scared cause I thought he was smoking (Cannabis) for his medical needs for a moment, Lucky! it was Tobacco. I was wearing a respirator mask as it was a SMOG alert day.

This is either extremely deep wit or plain sarcasm.

When I read that I think of some criminal being like you'll never catch me and pulling out a mask and just walking away like nobody notices.

More effective methods of hiding your presence are available.

I use a stealth cloak. Very expensive, but effective. Batteries need recharging after only 10 minutes, so you can't dillydally around. You gotta haul ass to point B.

Otherwise, if I see people, on the street, wearing a mask, unless he's coming from the Anime Convention down the street, I'd think he was off his rocker, and would avoid him/her like the plague.

Which reminds me. I was on my way to work, and saw a fully costumed Bat Man on the train. He was getting arrested by Sheriff's deputies. He had dumped a realistic-looking, but orange colored, shotgun in the trash before jumping on the train. He wore a very expensive looking, highly detailed Bat Man costume. It was surreal.

As much I want to, I'm not trying to get caught up in something stupid or get arrested for a conviction that I had no involvement in so for now... no. In the future if its okay I'd like to try out an ANBU Black Ops mask though.
