Didn't North Korea make a video of the White House getting bombed last year?

Yeah but it's pretty pathetic.

How many times has that fat egomaniac threatened war against us? He's on a very short leash and China's not going to let him or North Korea do a damn thing. People who are actually concerned, chill out.

I don't see this situation as serious, per se. Still, I think you might be overestimating China's influence over this guy. He is, after all, the third generation of his family with a pronounced god complex, which is probably becoming more deeply ingrained with each passing generation. . .

North Korea has no economy and pretty much gets free handouts from China. North Korea also serves no advantage to China itself and the only reason why China would support them is because North Korea acts as a buffer between us and China. If North Korea were to pull anything, and I doubt that they are as stupid or as goofy as how the media portrays them, an act of war would surely have China involved, and they wouldn't want that since we are a major consumer of Chinese products and their economy would take a big hit. Him and his family's power is vastly overestimated in comparison to what their propaganda displays. Sure he can talk the talk, but if China told him to sit, he would have to, otherwise we would be looking at a skinnier Kim Jung Un.

All very logical--but logic is not the stuff of which self-delusion is made. Any dog might bite its master. But I gotta give you that "otherwise we would be looking at a skinnier Kin Jung Un"--bravo, just the perfect turn of phrase!!!

when i saw the "kim jong un condemns seth rogen and james franco" headline i thought it was hilarious. then i actually saw the trailer and was like... yeah i'd actually be pissed off too. they didn't even make up a fake dictator to assassinate. they were like "yo lets straight up make a movie about assassinating a real dude"

i'm not surprised about the response at all.

i mean i obviously think kim jong un is a terrible dictator and should be put out of power, but i mean i'm just sayin. i'm not surprised.

Thanks, I've been working on my wit lately.
And true, delusions of grandeur does make people do really stupid things. I mean, our country has done some very dumb things in the past for thinking how awesome we were at the time.

That is a terrible idea. Why would you make a movie about assassinating someone who's still alive?

This movie is getting a ton of free publicity,

Makes me wonder why North Korea didn't make a stink about Red Dawn (2012 remake) or Team America both movies showed North Korea as the bad guys and Team America even made fun of Kim Jong Il portraying him as a sad pathetic loner. And I don't remember anyone throwing a stink over either movies or even demanding that those movies be banned or else WAR! Either way I highly doubt North Korea is going to do anything about it other than pound their chest a few times like they always do.

I think you're absolutely right. I think it's all just a bunch of barking that will result as it usually does: with no bite. No one can expect to believe that North Korea would basically declare all our war with the U.S. and South Korea over a movie that they don't condone hitting theaters in America. I think the North Koreans will get pissed, which they are, but at the same time one cannot expect the U.S. to appear scared and weak and bow to D(emocratic)P(eople's)R(epublic of)K(orea) demands, effectively silencing creative expression by preventing anyone from seeing "The Interview" because it doesn't sit well with them. Kim Jong-Un can cry me a river.
