I know that a lot of people do not believe in the New World Order, but it could be handy to just know a little bit of info about how FEMA is managed in your state. I live in Connecticut so I am in Region one, and the capitol of my region isn't even in my state (Boston). Is yours in your state?

Region V, capitol is Chicago... That's a good 6+ hours of driving away, I know that because I went to ACEN last year... that's a bit crazy.

Region III.

Weird thread.

Is this about the whole, "THE US GOV'T CAN USE FEMA TO PUT US ALL IN CAMPS" thing? I've heard that theory bandied about the internet. Usually with links that go to other sites discussing the same conspiracy theory which link to other sites talking about the conspiracy theory with minimal evidence of the actual FEMA camp theory.

My intent was to start a discussion about how the Federal Government was to some extent ineptly dealing with disasters, or something like that. I mean there are 50 states and only 10 capitols for this type of plan. You could discuss FEMA camps, but that is something totally different than what I meant.

Also I wanted people to know more about disaster preparedness and what to rely on during a large scale disaster.

I was basing my question from the link you provided which specifically talks about that conspiracy theory.

That said, yea - the federal government does have issues dealing with disasters. Which is why a lot of this should be localized instead. It makes more sense of Mississippi or California to deal with disasters in their home states because a) they know the area better; b) they are physically present to deal with it; and c) they generally can respond more quickly than the federal government can. Block grant funding to the states for disaster relief and ensure said funding is tied to it being used appropriately.

That's my 2¢
