Eh I won't mind if there is more Chuuni.

I haven't personally read the LN's, but I have read their summaries and other info about them, the interesting part I always find is that half the anime cast doesn't exist within the books.

Could you please spoil me:

It's sad when your ideas about where a show could go are better than the actual show itself. That's how S2 felt.......

This is so true. Wasted potential is what season 2 is.

I've never been a huge fan of Chunibyo. I liked the first season, didn't love it, but I saw massive potential with the first season. I was so excited to start the second season and I would have even said that the first 7 episodes were great, it was the latter half where it just crashed in burned. It did everything except focus on the Rikka and Yuuta's relationship on the last half of the show and it did all the fucking build up FOR NOTHING! Then I realized I could have passed on season 2 and would have been perfectly find in terms of story and character relationships. Rikka and Yuuta didn't go anywhere with their relationship from the ending of the first season, all it was one big fucking circle, that's what season 2 was.

Light Novel spoilers:

Did they change writers or directors during S2? That's the only reason I can think of why it seems so inconsistent in regard to quality and things like what exactly the focus of the narrative is, and what the character dynamics are.

Well Kyoto Animation has never made a third season of anything. I'm not sure if they'd start that trend with this series, and if they were to I would just assume see more Haruhi Suzumiya.

My opinion still hasn't changed. Season 2 was disappointing coming off of season 1. A return to form would be best in season 3.

Or they can just do a spin off of only Dekomori and Nibutani. I'd watch the shit out of that.

Your avatar makes me sad, because I really really want a season 2 of Hyouka...

As for a season 3 of Chunibyou, I wouldnt object, but I would love to see a spin-off of the yuri couple. >.>

I think a season 3 is really on a fence, on one side, the company won't adapt the LN, we don't get more chuuni goodness, and people aren't happy. OR, they adapt it, we get more goodness, and maybe our long awaited kiss scene? If its an issue of "will it be profitable" I personally think it could be even though a lot of people didn't really like season 2. Besides, if they do make a season 3, it might be better but we'll never know if they don't make it.

I'm the guy who won't watch S3 before watching S2.

And I dropped S2 after 3 eps.
And I am not picking up that show cause I have a lot of other things to watch.

So personally, a S3 doesn't do too much for me.

I'd rather an Angel Beats remake
