I'm looking for another anime streaming service to complement Crunchyroll. I recently tried Hulu Plus, which has a nice collection that differs from Crunchyroll, but I am not paying to watch commercials... So anything out there?

Hulu+
Netflix
FUNi

That's all I really know... I think there might be a couple others, but for legal sources... thats roughly it.

I agree 1000% will never subscribe to Hulu for that reason. When Neon Alley existed as a paid service with a PS3 app, I also saw commercials during my trial so never subscribed. The only option I know of is Funimation. They have a Roku app, but no PS3 app last I checked. I don't think it supports Chromecast, and I can't figure for the life of me why a subscription service has a paid Android app. (There is also a free version, not sure of the difference, but it's very existence is troubling). That equals enough snags that I haven't jumped in yet. (That, and the fact that I have enough title in my CR queue that I'm never without something to watch.) I am interested to know what other's experience with the service is.

Funimation is the only other real option; they usually have a different catalogue to Crunchy Roll, with the seasons animes usually split between the two of them
Unless you live outside the USA; then your out of luck

Daisuki is also an option. Their library is fairly small because they are a newer site, but it is free legal content.

i have huluplus, only cus my wife has it. the selection of titles nice, but in addition to the 'pay to see commercials' thing, they do not have an anime list. just whats popular, or the option to browse everything, not just anime. hulu sucks.

Experience with FUNi? Compared to others I apparently have the best luck ever with FUNi. My computer runs their website fine, I can navigate their site easily, their Roku app is convenient and easy to use.

Add CR, Netflix, and Hulu+ it is literally impossible to run out of Anime.

OK OK not impossible, just takes awhile.

I suppose you mean via an app? I have not used Hulu+ as an app yet so I can not comment really on it.

But their website you can get Anime.

I'd recommend Funimation. They get some of the simulcasts that CR doesn't get and they have a more extensive backlog of anime than CR. There streaming services have improved and I'd say they are currently as good as CRs. They use to be terrible, but they've gotten their act together in the streaming department. I use their website, android app, and Xbox 360 app for streaming funimation streams well on all of them.

Hulu plus is pretty good, and you can stream most of their stuff for free if you just watch it on the computer. However, you do have to deal with the ads, even if you do pay.

Netfix has some good anime available, but their catalog is much smaller than CR's or Funimation's.

Oh, and if you have Amazon Prime, they have some anime on their streaming service as well. Their interface for finding shows isn't that great, but if you are already a prime member it is free.

Netflix is good, and they've gotten better at the selection of anime that they offer and actually now have the option of watching it subbed or dubbed when available for most of it now too, which is nice. Daisuki is nice as well, even though their selection is small so far, but you can watch free without commercials on there.

Hulu+ is streaming remastered classic Sailor Moon... but then again Netflix has Orange Is The New Black. Decisions decisions...
