Tell me which have you done or which do you prefer.

If you saw something get out of hand such as an assault on a defenseless person would you be reckless and get involved knowing that it could be trouble for you at then end? Or would you rather move along and not take a stand because either A.)You don't care B.) Your too scared.

Additionally if someone was bullying someone in school would you stand up for the person or be one of the countless sheep that will follow the herd , ignore it and go along with your day?

i'd just call the police or talk to whoever is in charge... maybe take a video/picture to show proof... can do very little physically so those'd be my only options.

Idk I feel like it's easy to say you would do something on the internet rather then actually doing it when the time comes. I usually get involved because walking away means I could've been the only one to help and calling the police causes to much unnecessary work

Back in the days I use to jump in and try and play hero. These days I can't be bothered.

It's the Scottish way (at least at the moment because it may be changing) to always help a person in trouble. If somebody was being assaulted or being mugged then I would at least shout at them to get their attention away from the victim so they could run.

I remember so many fights happening at school... I'd try to stop them from happening whenever it started, but for some reason whenever I'd get there, it would normally already be stopped. So I didn't get to see that many, though there were a bunch. Though there was this one time in middle school where I helped stop one. Anyway, whenever I'd hear of some sort of unfairness, I'd want to help, but I wasn't really in too many circles to where I'd know about it.

Hmm well it depends on the situation, if I know the context of what is happening or the people involved I will help. But interfering not knowing what is going on, I could be in the wrong. So I'd rather not.

It's easier to stab people in the back when you are in the shadows.

Before joining the few martial arts clubs in high school, I certainly wouldn't have had any confidence in standing up for someone during a fight. I wasn't afraid, rather, I just didn't want to injure myself because my caretakers would get really angry. After a year, I'd definitely stand up for someone in a fight.

Now if there's no physical fighting involved and someone's getting bullied, I'd definitely stand up for him/her without question. However, that brings me to point out that whenever I've done that when I was younger, it's always led to me getting into trouble lol.

It seriously depends on the situation:

How many people are attacking?
How strong are they?
Are they armed?
Do you know the person being attacked?
Do they look trustworthy or equally suspicious?
Do you know the attackers?
Are you strong?
Are you weak?
Are you a pacifist?
Do you have a job which requires you to enforce people's safety?
Is there anyone else with a job like that in the proximity?
Are you physically or mentally disabled in a way that would lower your chances of being helpful by stepping in?
Are you ill?
Where are you?
Is there someone else nearby who could be consulted for help?
Is it night or day?
Do you have to be somewhere important?
Do you have anything important on you that you don't want damaged or stealing?
Do you have kids or an elderly person with you?
Do you have an animal with you?
Could you suffer repercussions as a result?

There's so much to take into account that there really is no general answer, and you can't really tell what the best course of action is until the time comes. Same with the bullying situation. It all depends. Some scrawny spaz verbally insulting someone is one thing, but it's another to deal with 3 meat heads with the I.Q. of a chimp.

I help and I stand up for anyone being bullied. I got punched once in the stomach by a guy while I was defending another guy from getting hurt. Im just that type of person that will jump into any situation to help another defenseless person even though im defenseless myself I know there is nothing to gain from it but I just do it anyway, If I didnt I would feel bad that I never did anything to at least help in some way

I would rather just walk away; as cruel as that sounds. I'm not going to risk on getting hurt to save someone I don't know, but if it was someone I know I might change my answer.
