EDIT: Fixed!

Hi! Before I continue writing I'd like to apologize in advance if this has been asked before.

When we first got our samsung smart tv we downloaded the crunchyroll app. (This was sometime last year I think.) and the app worked fine, except we didn't realize you had to be premium to watch shows . After I realized, I continued watching from the website as a free user. I'm hoping to be able to purchase premium soon.

This morning I tried using the app just to make sure it still works *I've had bad luck in the past with things not working after I have purchased things for them * The app seemed to be forever loading on the title screen of crunchyroll. It had loading in the corner of the screen but it did not do anything at all after ages. I've tried reinstalling the app many times but still nothing changes. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you for taking time to read this.

I became a member here because of the Samsung app, but it didn't work before I became a premium member, all it did was show a screen with a code to, input on the website,to activate the app.

A few months ago when I went on the app to see how to activate it, the code input screen did indeed show up. But now nothing even shows up at all besides the loading screen. If it helps here is a picture to show what I actually mean.

The app is stuck on the screen for absolutely ages. It does not result in the app loading at all, unfortunately.

Thanks for replying!

I have a Samsung Blu-ray player . Before I was a premium I could watch almost any show that available . And I didn't have commercials (?) . Now my question to you , are you using the built-in wireless or an Ethernet cable ? I've heard issues (my son also has a Samsung tv) of the built - in wireless not being too good . He tuned off wireless & used Ethernet (his house is wired for it...twerp) . Fixed his problem . Or you can try a wireless multimedia adapter to use the Ethernet port . I was doing that on my Xbox 360 because of dropping issues . Edit : also forgot to add this . Samsung uses their own servers which cause ALOT of issues . Example , instead of it going from home - isp - Crunchyroll , it adds this. Home - isp - Samsung servers - THEN Crunchyroll . It also causes issues with Netflix & You Tube . Yet they admit no fault .

Hi, thanks for replying! I asked my dad which one we are using and he said he doesn't know which we're using at the minute *I'll probably ask him to check soon*. I recall when we first got the crunchyroll app where it worked fine. But since then we've changed from wireless to Ethernet a few times. Would this have affected the other apps on the Samsung tv too? As the other apps are working fine. If this is the case, I hope it would still be the case where I could fix it. I'll try to fix it during the meantime. Thanks so much for replying! I hope it works.

I still have this issue. My wife has an account and yesterday, suddenly, we got the same screen Cheeky posted. It gets stuck forever loading the app. We decided to create a new account on my name and reisntall the app, but we have the same result, I can't even register the device because the app just won't go beyond the loading screen.

I see the last post was in June this year, has there been any answers or troubleshooting tips from the Crunchyroll staff yet?

This situation is extremely annoying and it is even worse on our PS3, the videos take forever to load and the stream is slow as hell so all we watch is a "chopped" version of what we want to watch. What happened Crunchy, you were doing so great...
