It's sad that when actual Nigerian prince will have emergency need to transfer couple of billions overseas, no one will believe him, thanks to these guys

May be you just kidding but if not - I'd advice to never reply to and even open scam emails even for a joke (unless you some kind of pro-hacker yourself and know perfectly what you're doing). You never know actual goal behind specific scam email. It is not necessary exclusively (or even at all) making you believe in whatever is used as contents to draw attention. It can be as "small" as to make you open it.

How are you today? and how about your
health? hope fine and you are doing well, My Name Is Miss Tina, I am looking for a very nice man of love, caring, honest, matured, understanding, and of good character, then after going to your profile on this site (www.crunchyroll.com)
i pick interest in you, so i will like you to write me with My E-mail address is ( [email protected] ) so that i will send you my picture and tell you more about me

And I thought: "This was the last place I expected this kind of mail". Then after taking a look in the spambox from Gmail, I saw some great news: I won 5 million. But not just that. I won it with 15 different lotteries. I even won in Microsoft's competition. Even though I don't buy lottery tickets. I'm going to be rich Woohoo!

Is anyone else as lucky as me?

Ladies and Gentlemen, let the viruses and/or money scams begin!!!

Now that you've mentioned it, The similar event happen to me. But it's not a Nigerian prince though. I've gotten this email from someone from Africa, and she wrote a whole page. It saids something about her parents died, her teachings, the reverend, and money. When I heard that her parents died, I thought that was serious. But even if it is true, it's hard to believe. So I said, "Woah, I'm sorry for your loss there. But in terms of money, I can't help you." A couple days later, she'd replied that she fell in love with me, wanted to spend the rest of her life with me, keep it a secret, and she even want to see me in person. Although, she's like 25 years old. But she still needs the money from my bank account. After that, I'm done.

So yeah, That's what happen to me that is very similar to the Nigerian prince message you've mentioned. And what's even more weird is that she has a UK yahoo account.

Advice of the day people! If you see messages like this, Ignore it! Never reply!

Absolutely right. If you open unexpected e-mails, be prepared for viruses. If you respond to unexpected e-mails, expect to be the victim of either increased spamming, the initiation of a con, or both. It's just like an autodialer: if you answer your phone, the dialer knows your number is valid and will call it again. Don't open unexpected e-mails, and don't answer phone calls from undisclosed numbers.

Fun fact: Some people actually see it as a challenge to reply to these kind of mails and waste the scammer's time. It's called scam baiting. Although I don't have the guts nor the motivation to do it.
Anyways, I have found a community where people share their scam baiting story. It's really funny to see how stupid those scammers are.
