Those colors seem photoshopped to me for some reason. It's probably becausew I've never seen them like that, and will be thankful I NEVER WILL! I bet you'd be just like this person with a spider.

Here, take my man card; I don't deserve it for cowering at night with these creatures at my feet.

I don't mind spiders, at least not the regular ones, as long as they don't startle me or crawl on me. I have been known on occasion to even save a spider that's trapped inside at home or at work, or take one from on a plant in the Garden Center while at work and put it properly outside. However, I HATE poisonous spiders. They freak me out and give me the creeps. When I was in High School, one of the Science teachers had a pet Tarantula in his classroom. I never had him for a Science class, but sometimes things like a study hall or other stuff were held in his classroom, and all the Science classrooms were connected by the main Science teacher's room in the middle of them, so sometimes we'd walk through there to get from one class to the next. I couldn't sit next to the spider, or even walk by it without feeling creeped out and icky. Eventually I did get near it's cage at least and check it out, and did that a few times in my later years in High School, but it still creeped me out. Supposedly it was supposed to be devenomized too, but I didn't care, it still made me wary. >.> Luckily I live in a state where poisonous spiders are rare. We only have a couple around here, a Brown Recluse and a Black Widow, but because the Winters are so long and cold here, they don't survive very well. Never encountered either, and never want to.

About a month ago, a Dark Fishing Spider (Dolomedes tenebrosus) was discovered hanging out in the basement. I let it continue to wander. I named it Sado, since it reminded me of the Bleach character, despite the spider being female. She's big, shy, and packs quite the wallop when pushed to defend herself. It's been a while since I last caught a glimpse of her.

Last week, a female Long Bodied Cellar Spider (Pholcus phalangioides) was trying to make the basement shower her home. I forced her out of the shower.

First, you LET them wander your house? I mean I understand small spiders.. But if that thing is bigger then average (like Sado) it needs to die. In fire, no lava. Second, how can you tell male from female? And third, hope when you forced the other spider out of your shower you used lava.

The first pic I posted is that of a Peacock Jumping spider. They are found in Australia and, as their name suggests, they are quite colourful and, like most jumping spiders, they are great at interpretative dancing.

There's always a huntsman in the house but they don't always have 8 legs.
One day a 4 legged huntsman fell on my face while I was sleeping and woke me up.

Am I the only one who thought about The Phantom Troupe? HxH ftw!

On topic: I really feared/hated spiders, but lately I've been overcoming my fear. Maybe not to a point were I would actually touch them, but now at least I don't feel paranoid by just seeing one up close.

I live in Britain where there aren't any dangerous spiders, so I'm not bothered in the slightest about them.

They can be cute. Just have to say: Keep the poisonous ones away from me.
If they won't kill me tho, I'll gladly be near them.

I'm not that big of an HxH fan, but yeah, I clicked this thread thinking it'd be something about The Phantom Troupe. XD
