When was the last time you heard an anime girl had breast implants? or double eyelid surgery?

or went to a doctor for "self" beauty enhancements?

or hired a gym instructor to get toned and fit?

Why would someone go out of there way to create something that was flawed in any of those ways?? Humans are flawed but we don't choose to be, it's not anyone's choice. Anime/video games are the only place that someone call literally be perfect. Is it implying false hope? A bit but it's not like a video game character is capable of cheating or leaving sooo in a way it's a good outlet for those less fortunate.

If you play NTR games, you'll see them cheat like it's their job.

Most people don't need surgery like that, they choose to do it anyway, for they feel they need it.

But to answer your question, I think a couple of seasons ago in Noucome.

Ayame Reikadou from My Mental Choices Are Completely Interefering With My School Romantic Comedy has breast implants.

In K-On! Ritsu, Mugi, and Mio are weight conscious. That's kinda what you're talking about.

Oh, yeah! In Say I Love You there's two chicks that are/were pretty much anorexic had/have self image issues.

Check and mate, onibrotonel.

The only reason I can think of is to make characters or the story more realistic/relatable.

Like every female character has weight issues/self image issues. As I understand fro my female friends, that is fairly common/accurate to real life.

Last year there was a character in My Mental Choices that had breast implants.

I have seen a few times about characters having STDs, and they are usually the characters that sleep around as well.

Yes sure perfection is more common than anything else in Anime, but that is what makes it interesting I think for us.

I doubt we want to see a cast of characters where 1 or 2 have STDs, another is clinically depressed, another one or two can't stand the opposite gender what so ever, all of them have phobias, and they all have asthma to boot.

I hear you but the fact that something flawed seems more realistic, makes you think about the world we live in doesn't it? nice and perfect as something that's unrealistic

I guess I don't know what you're asking? Are anime characters too perfect looking? Well yeah probably in general they are, but that plays to human nature I suppose. It's all part of the fantasy of being beautiful, strong, popular, powerful, etc.

Are anime characters so overwhelmingly attractive that real people are no longer attractive? Not for me by any means, but it is used as a trope in anime and manga. Does it have real life implications? I guess I hope not. The whole "mai waifu-mai husbando" thing is fun, but it shouldn't actually replace real people. If it does, then I think that's kind of sad.

Meh its just like a FPS on hard where everyone gets super health and aim bot reaction times to screw you over. Or RTS where they cheat with extra resources and extra units. Not surprised the them 2D girls cheat too though I could see why you go WTF over that compared to enemies cheating in other games.
