It's now or never! I have no choice, its time to fight!!

Alice focused her eyes upon the bear behind Astrid. While it would leave her vulnerable to attack of the first bear she should be able to at least force the other bear back a safe distance from Astrid.

"Crushing Current!" A curlean hue glowed around the edge of her blade as mighty wave appeared between the secondary bear and Astrid. Forced to yield the power of ocean waves the second bear was pushed back slammed by the unforgiving wave and into some heavy trees. Seeing his opportunity the first bear lunged forward, lashing out its claws at Alice. The razor sharp claws tearing into her right arm. Alice cringed barely turning her blade in time to meet the teeth of the demonic bear. Alice dug in her heels struggling against the bears massive size and strength they deadly game of tug a war had begun.

Kael and Alice began traveling down the path now at running speed. Kael stops in his track causing the two to come to a halt. Still looking forward and not looking at Alice, "Do you have anyway of locating the other...." Before Kael could finish, he spotted a red marking on a tree and moved closer to examine it with Alice still in hand. He squinted his eyes and moved close enough to sniff the red mark, "Berries," he thought to himself. In a jolt he took off running again deep into the forest with Alice. By this time he had already guestimated the berries were used to mark the trees and he was following the marked trees even though they were running at full speed. From Alice's point of view, Kael said nothing all she could see was him moving at high speeds. In the distance, he stopped two what it appears to be girls. One was holding off one of the bears with a blade. Another bear was getting up off the ground and approaching the girl holding off the bear from the back. Kael let go of Alice's hand so he could reach his full potential of speed. The bear behind slowly raised up on its hind legs ready to crush the girl holding off the other bear. Just as the bear on its hind legs was coming down, Kael's leg came in contact with the bears chest sending it flying into a nearby tree. The momentum of Kael's speed and strength of his round house kick was enough to knock the bear out temporarily. Kael quickly got up from his squatted position in which he landed, took a few steps back from the girl (which he could now see was the other Alice) in the struggle with the bear and ran full speed shouldering the bear enough to make it flip over off of the girl. Alice fell to the ground on her back and Kael was now picking himself off the ground before the bear could. The hunter has found his prey.

(No Don't apologize!! Glad you got into it!!)

The second Alice quickly rolled to her feet.. Kael had given them the opportunity they needed, before the situation had gotten in worse she leaped to the first Alice extending her hand towards her as she did so.

ALICE!!!

ALICE!!!!

The first Alice reached for the second when their hands touched a magical connection forced a ripple into the heavy air like stone disturbing a clam lake. Within seconds there was only one Alice, blood flowed freely from her wounded arm, because of their connection their wound had become much more severe. Yet Alice couldn't rest in fact renewed with herself a greater conviction flowed in her. She had done so much more then make a friend today she had made two, and she wouldn't risk loosing either one of them.

Alice extended her hand that held her blade forward, a curlean light swirled given the appearance of tiny whirlpool being formed at the point. Alice grasped the hilt with her other hand to steady herself as she focused her power and aimed towards the bear that was struggling to recover from the force of Kael kicks.

The dire bear let out groan as it slowly rose to all four once more. The dead eyes of the bear locked hard upon Kael as congealed blood and foam lingered on its lips. It had developed an unnatural hunger and its hunger would and most be fulfilled.

Astrid's knees buckled beneath her and she stare wide-eyed at the events unfolding quickly. They were joined by two newcomers, one who looked exactly like Alice, and in a blink of an eye, they merged into one. Alice and the male newcomer were both engaged in combat with a bear of their own, and Astrid mustered up the courage to rummage for her wand in her pack and support them in any way she can.
"Sanare," the witch whispered and swished her wand in the direction of Alice. She couldn't heal the wound completely, but it was enough to stop it from bleeding profusely. "I'm sorry I can't be much of help," she apologized and kept an eye out for an opportunity to aid them. "It's against my code to fight, but I'll offer support in other ways."

Kael braced himself and scanned the area marking all those that were surrounding him: The bear recovering from the kick by the tree, the bear recovering from his shouldering, Alice a little distant from him and the bears, and the other girl on the ground appearing to be healing Alice. When Kael looked back towards the bears, the first bear closest to him was now back on it's feet and it stared Kael straight in the eyes. When Kael's serious blue eyes met the bear blood thirsty eyes, he knew what he must do. Kael only intended to get the others safely aware from the bears, but Kael now saw that these bears are not usual. They would stop at nothing to kill all those in their way. Kael slowly side stepped over to Alice and the girl not making any sudden movements so that he was facing both bears. When close enough, he extended his arm and slowly lowered Alice's wand while still having his eyes fixed on the bear. He spoke calmly to Alice and the other girl, " Save your energy Alice. Miss, please stay here with Alice and continue to heal her. When you two have enough strength leave from here. Whatever you do, do not follow ." Suddenly Kael took off running toward the bear recovering by the tree. The bear that had his eyes fixed on Kael had immediately followed after Kael. Kael jumped up and kicked the recovering bear in the face, angering it. Now both bear were chasing after Kael as he led them further into the forest until they could no longer be seen by Alice and the girl. Kael could have taken out both bears while around Alice and the other girl, but the truth was he did not want Alice to see what he was going to do next, she might fear him. Kael had no super power or magic only knowledge, seemingly endless stamina, and a set of skills that he continues to hone. However, there was something strange about him that he couldn't explain.

(Ok cool, thanks!)

"Kael!!" exalmied Alice as she watched him disappear the bears charging after him.

She wanted bad to chase after Kael and quickly be on his heels but she knew that doing so would only put Astrid at further risk. She had to get her back to the safety of the shop and pray that he would hold out long enough. But she didn't like his odds with two bears on his tail takeing in a deep breath she released the energy forming at the tip of her blade.

"Torrent Bullet!!"

The azure hue light swirled into six strong aqua charge bullets capable of percing highly restiant armor. She watched as four of the six bullet collide into the smaller of the two bears forcing it to collapse with a thud. It wasn't dead but for now it was unconscious and would have to recover from the extent of his injuries.

Good luck, Kael...please be careful. Alice whispered as she took Astrid by the hand.

"Come on we have no choice we can't waste this opportunity we need to get you back to the safety of your shop. When you safe there...I'll come back and try to help Kael. "

Astrid was shaking her head as she listened to Alice. "I strongly disagree with you going after him in your condition, and he did say not to follow," she stated with a furrowed brow and frown. "But I also know that you're too kind to let any face trouble alone. Hold a moment." She took out a few herbs she gathered earlier that day from her pack and made a quick balm to place on Alice's wounds. It was cool to the touch, although it did sting a little and Astrid rebandaged Alice's arm. "I'll find my way out," she said reassuringly. "It might be too late if you escort me all the way back to Hocus Pocus. I'll stay by the path, and look for you two if you don't come back within the day. Please be safe."

I'm not just going to abandon you either! I'm not leaving your side till I know for a fact your safe!

She hissed as herbs touched against Alice's wound.

There could be even more of those things. Besides its my fault for suggesting we go of the pact to begin with. Either one of you, I mean..

Alice couldn't say much more angry tears were bitting at the back of her eyes.

I'm going to make sure you get back safe..and that's that.

Sighing, she shrugged her shoulders in defeat and squeezed Alice's hand comfortingly. "I can't argue with you," Astrid said with a wry smile. "Do what you will, but don't be reckless. Come on, the faster we get out of here, the sooner you can save him." She found the markings on the trees and proceeded with a jog.

Kael continued running and looked back to see he had out ran the bears. He couldn't see them but he could hear them coming his way. Suddenly he could hear a thud and the groan of one bear, " Looks like one bear is down." He reached a clearing and climbed up the nearest tree at a fast pace. Kael put on his hood and waited for the bear to show. Finally the bear came walking into the clearing snarling and sniffing around. He could hear his heart beat as he crouched there completely still following the bear's every move. It was as if a hawk was stalking its prey. The bear looked up and sniffed the air. Kael could see the undead look in its eyes and slowly pulled out his dagger. Right when the bear got close enough, Kael leaped from the tree and pointed the blade downward. He landed right on the bear's back with a rolling break fall to the ground. Kael stood to his feet to find the bear facing toward him breathing heavily with blood dripping from its mouth and his dagger hilt sticking out of the bears back, " So that wasn't enough to kill you huh?" The bear growled loudly before charging Kael. Kael flipped, rolled, and ducked parrying every one of the bear's swipes. The bear lunged at Kael and Kael jumped to the right to be met with a swipe from the bear that was no longer unconscious and caught up to Kael. Kael wasn't able to dodge the attack and was knocked towards the other bear with a large claw wound the stretched across his back diagonally and another attack from the bear in front of him which sent him flying back. The second bear was limping moving slowly as if it has sustained a lot of damage. Kael landed on his back, with his shirt now in tatters from both claw wounds that stretched across his chest and back diagonally. He gritted his teeth as he slowly stood to his feet with the thrill of the hunt increasing each second. He started to tear off the rest of his ruined shirt leaving him shirtless, and threw his cloak to the side. He couldn't feel the pain of either one of the wounds only the intent to kill. He charged at the bear with the dagger in his back, flipped over it retrieving the dagger, and rolled back to his feet pulling out another dagger. The unseen battle between beasts and beast had begun. Kael charged after the bear delivering spinning, stabbing, and flip attacks making cuts to both bears. Kael didn't let up once giving neither bear an opportunity to attack. After the first 5 cuts the second bear fell to the ground, and after 50 cuts more the first bear begin to fall to the ground unable to attack anymore. Kael didn't stop attacking. It was as if something possessed him and he could no longer control himself. He just kept cutting, slicing, cutting, slicing, with each cut painting his brown skin red. He continued until his whole upper body and face was covered with blood. He finished off with the decapitation of both bears. The best way to kill the undead, decapitation. He stood there over both headless bodies with cut marks all over them, breathing heavily before taking off further in the woods.

(I apologize for the super long post... again. I wanted to make it interesting for ya'll)

(Oh It's intresting...when Alice come back she is going to be worried sick...)

Alice jogged forward making sure to keep Astrid close within her line of vision at all times. She wanted so bad to look back, to run into the woods and quickly retreat after Kael but if she did that she wouldn't be faired to Astrid. She had this feeling, for the first time being forced to make a choice Alice began to loathe the responsibility of being a guardian of Fabel.

Kael's run went to a jog and from a jog to slow walking. With the blood now dried onto his body, both daggers still to his sides with a fastened grip, and his hair matted to his head, Kael kept walking. The adrenaline had neutralized now as the hunt was now over. His whole body was numb, but the burning sensation from the claw wounds on his back and chest had began. His body was so tired. He couldn't react or wince in pain all he could manage was to keep walking forward. The surge that he was feeling, the possession only seemed to subside once he completely ran out of energy. His face was emotionless and he walked like a zombie. Thrown in this state between consciousness and unconsciousness, no feeling of emotion, he just thought to himself, " I can't feel my arms...I'm moving." Without moving his head, he looked down at his legs, " Walking....I'm walking..." He looked straight ahead, "I killed....I won....I did what was needed." Kael began to think back on the recent fight, he was unable to control his body but he was conscious of everything, like watching a movie. " I went to far....they wanted...to kill me....but...I went to far....should have...stopped.....kept cutting..." Kael could see an beam of light between to trees and watched as he moved closer to it, "Wanted to stop...but....wanted to kill more....monster....what am I....who am I....fable?...Human? He finally made it to the beam of light to behold a lake siting under the blue sky.

He slowly made his way to the lake water, his stamina finally giving out on him. Each step in the water his legs grew weaker and when he was half way submerged he relaxed his body letting the lake carry him. He was floating face down and when he opened his eyes underwater, he looked at his arms to see the blood slowly starting to wash away leaving streams in the water. He felt so calm as the water carried him like a mother her child. "Nice....is this paradise....dying....am I dead?" Suddenly he couldn't breath and flipped over on his back from a reflex in order to get air. He smiled softly as he reality started to set in. Floating on his back, he closed his eyes, " No....I'm alive."

(Hahaha, it's fine. I'll try to keep Kael here for now.)

Kael opened his eyes to a starry night sky and full moon. He was still floating on his back in the lake. "Wow, the fable world stars are much more clear to see than my world," Kael thought. Kael sat up and began swimming towards the grassy green shore. He was fully conscious now and his strength had returned. However, after being in the water so long his body temperature had dropped. He was cold and he has eaten in awhile. He sits on the dry grass looking into the reflection of the lake. His hair was partially matted by blood and there were still spots of dried of blood that had not washed away. His eyes widened when realize how much blood he shed and a small glimmer of fear struck his heart. Luckily Kael's pants weren't stained but they were soaked. He stood up, took off his pants, wrung them out, and laid them out to dry. Then he jumped back into the lake and swam underwater. Kael stuck his hands in his hair and began to scrub the blood out of his red hair. He rubbed his arms and upper body until the blood came out as well, but was very careful when it came to his chest and back. Then he just swam deeper down towards the bottom. It was dark, but after a few minutes he realized the water was getting lighter. The sun was setting. Kael spotted a glimmer at the bottom of the lake and swam to it. When close enough he realized the glimmer was the reflection of the sun off of his daggers. He must have dropped them in the water when he passed out. He quickly retrieved the daggers and made it to the surface. Gasping for air he was captivated by the sunset rising from the east. Kael made his way back to the shore with his daggers in hand. His body began to shiver as he laid down the daggers on his drying pants, " I've been in the water to long, if I don't heat up I'll get hypothermia." Kael grabbed his daggers and entered into the woods, wet, shaking, and the only article of clothing covering him was his briefs.

Kael came out of the forest still in his briefs, with a dagger in one hand, and a deer in the other hand. He dropped the deer and began feeling around on the ground until he found a few twigs. He made a fire with a pit close to his pants so they would dry. Then, while the fire was steadily growing, he began to cut out the deer retrieving meat to eat and a deer hide blanked to keep him warm. He rotisserie the meat with some rosemary he found. While the meat was cooking he thought to himself, "I wonder what they eat here?" After he finished eating he laid by the fire, covered up with his deer hide blanket, and put his hands behind his head. It had gotten warmer now, but the sun was still hidden behind some clouds. Kael watched the clouds and began to think, " I hope Alice and the other girl made it to safety? I didn't even get the girls name." He began to smile softly as one of the clouds reminded him of Alice. He began to playback in his mind her rambling, smiling, and energetically moving around. " I wonder what Alice is doing." His smile slowly turned into worry when he began to think about how he viciously killed those bears and how he wanted to stop but couldn't, "What would Alice think of me if she knew?"
