Kael watch as Alice skipped, talked, and moved so freely. He felt just as free being around Alice. He listened attentively as Alice explained before replying, " I don't think everyone sees you like that. Sometimes people can see you as one way but treat you another. Why wouldn't people back home like you?" Kael scratched his head while turning it to the side, "I like being around you," he murmured. Kael began to look around making a note of his surroundings, " For fun....I like to learn....and watch nature....you've got to see it for yourself. When I'm done with this client, I want to show you something. If you don't mind."

Alice, Guardian Of Fable

Alice giggled.
"I don't mind, sounds like it might be fun as long as I'm with you..."

Alice took a left stopping only on her heals a moment to make sure Kael was keeping up.

"It's been quiet lately ..well minus the incident in the woods. So maybe it sign that good things are ahead and the incident was just a fluke..or I like to think so. But normal bears don't really act like that...at least I don't think so. But maybe I'm putting to much thought behind it.. "

Alice shook her head shaking away any unpleasantries from her mind as she began to walk again. She counted the streets on the right, and aftr reaching the fourth turned onto the street.

"Here we go Bipty Bop Street."

Kael followed right behind Alice, "I have a hunch there's someone behind that bear. I'll find out soon enough." Kael stopped when Alice stopped and viewed the narrow street. "Don't worry. If any creatures like those bears show up again, I won't let them hurt you." Kael took the lead and guestured Alice to follow.

Alice, Guardian Of Fable

Alice nodded affirmatively with big grin plastered on her face.

"You really think we find bears all the way in Hocus..that would be more the odd...though I guess a bear could be a familiar as well as a cat can. A Hector a familiar so I don't see why a bear would be. But then again wouldn't the mean the bear would be more civilized amusing as if bear could honestly be civilized. Wouldn't that be funny sight, a bear with a little top hat and monocle seating down to some tea and cookies."

Alice laughed at the thought quietly as continued to follow behind Kael.

Kael heard what Alice said but couldn't find the humor in it. All he could think about was the duel with the possessed bears and the uncontrollable urge to kill. Kael's face began to grow cold. He continued to walk forgetting where he was as his mind traveled into a dark abyss. In the distance a large gated estate could be seen. Behind the gates stood a large white building which could best be described as a mini castle. It was protected by the gates that stood 10ft tall. The sight snapped Kael out of his mood as he read the note again, "That must be it." Kael looked at Alice with a calm expression, "You don't know were trouble lurks. Anything could happen at any given moment." All of a sudden a pirate ran past Alice and Kael with a sack. A woman yells from a distance, "Stop! You didn't pay for that!" Kael just watches the scene take place.

Alice, Guardian Of Fable

Alice didn't hesitate for a moment someone needed help and that was all she needed to know. She wasn't looking for a fight, fighting while a useful tool was last resort. She hoped that if she could cut him off and confront him and reason with him it would be enough. Though she knew to many the ideal with naive it didn't stop her from trying it time and time again. Alice teal eyes scanned the area realizing the narrow street would not be in her favor if she continued in a straight run so she would have to improvise.

Alice dashed straight towards a wall using her speed to run up it an angel for only a sec before bounding off . She turned her body, tucking into a roll to ensure the forceful landing wouldn't harm her. Alice rose to her feet cutting the thief off from his current direction.

"Yea know was that really necessary? I mean what do you need with that stuff in that sack anyways. Besides I'm sure just paying for said items in question might prove to produce more reasonable results don't you think?"

Kael followed both Alice and the pirate. The pirate theif jumped startled before pulling out a dagger with his free hand. He side stepped circling Alice. His face was one as if he just seen a ghost. "W-what do y-y-you know! Out of my w-way lady before I h-h-hurt you!" The man's hand that held the dagger was shaking.

Alice, Guardian Of Fable

Alice looked down at the dagger shakeing in his hand.A soft smile crossed her face.

"Your right I don't know anything about your situation. But I can tell you, you really don't want to hurt anyone. Your hand' shaking which means your scared..it also tells me if you worried about the idea of fight you don't care for the idea of hurting anyone. I'm not going to let your pass, cause I can't let you just take something from someone who has worked so hard to earn it. But if you tell me why you need it so bad I might be able to help you. If your not comfortable with that why don't start with our names. Hi, I'm Alice..what's your name?"

Alice didn't summon her blade not wishing to give a reason for the the man to spook further. She looked him stead fast in the eye as she held her ground.

Kael stood there with his arms crossed watching how Alice and the pirate handled things. The pirate hesitated for a second, "Don't underestimate me! I'll use this if I have to. Don't make me use it!" The man's eyes were still wide and he looked as if he wanted to scream in terror. The man started walking closer with his dagger still pointed at Alice. Kael could see that the man was terrified out of his mind. People that scared are likely to do anything and Kael didn't want to take the risk. Kael passed up Alice from behind and grabbed the man by his shirt and held him up so his feet wasn't touching the ground. The man struggled to get free but Kael didn't budge. His face was serious as he spoke to the man, " I could care less about you or your situation. I'm not nearly as understanding as Alice." The man froze in fear dropping the bag of goods and dagger while looking at Kael, " Please, I'm sorry! Don't hurt me, please." Kael continued, "I'd suggest you speak to her if you don't want to deal with me." The man looked at Alice, " M-my name is roger okay! Please let me go! I'm sorry." Kael held the man a little higher, "Your decision Alice."

Alice gave a nod to Kael.

"It's ok, he's just scared. Let Roger down on his feet Please Kael. "

Her eyes then drifted back over to the man known as Roger.

"Your free to go if you wish Roger. But I do hope you'll talk to me I might be able to help you..but no matter what you choose that bag is staying and the contents getting returned to its owner." "

Kael dropped the man and he landed on his back before getting up and running off. Kael watched as the man ran off leaving the bag and dagger, "I guess no matter what world you're in people are still people." He picked up the bag and dagger, walked over to Alice, and held out the bag to her. "Here," he said as he inspected the dagger in his other hand.

Alice sighed as she watched the man known as Roger scatter like a mouse freed from a rat trap. She took the sack in hand and began walking back with towards were she had heard the woman's voice.

"I wonder why he felt like he had to do that in the first place, guess I'll never know. Thanks for the help though Kael."

Kael took the tip of the blade of the dagger and easily bent, "This isn't even durable."Kael watches Alice return the bag to the woman as she sigh with relief and shakes Alice's hand in gratitude. Kael put his hand up and shook it, "Don't thank me. I didn't want to deal with him, but he seemed unstable and was pointing a knife at you. I'm no hero, but you are." Kael walked past Alice and guestured to her to follow, "Come on and lets get back to Astrid's place." The air began to chill as the sun makes its last appearance for the day and night slips in.

Astrid lowered the heat on the stove and looked curiously at the door after the pair had left.  "Should I have warned them about the witches of the night?" she thought aloud and walked out the door to look at the sky.  She shivered slightly against the chilly night air and frowned at the white orb shining in the sky.  "It's a full moon, there's bound to be some mischief."  Covents were likely to be the most active this time of the month, and Astrid had wished she paid attention to Alice and Kael leaving enough to give them protective charms.  Would witches turn them into toads? she wondered.  There were some hexes Astrid could reverse, but not all.
She leaned against her doorframe and watched a caravan of veiled gypsies and their wagons pass her house, unusually solemn and dressed in black rather than colorful garments.  A quiet mourning hymn they sang, palms together in prayer.
"They go to bury one of their sisters in a place past the Little Forest," a voice above her informed, and Astrid turned and stepped away to look at the house.  Someone sat on her rooftop, watching the procession pass by.  He covered the lower portion of his face with a scarf, but Astrid recognized his hair the color of the ocean.
Hester arched her back and hissed at the stranger, and Astrid folded her arms sternly.  "Zachary Helson, you are not welcome here.  I may be a good witch, but that won't stop me from turning your hair into the color of mold."
The huntsman laughed and pulled his scarf down to reveal a lopsided grin.  "Relax, I'm just here until they pass.  I'm on the lookout for danger, you know, so I'm borrowing your roof for a bit.  I take it you're still mad about the Babylon candle I borrowed?"
"Stole," Astrid corrected and fumed at the remembrance of her loss.  "It took me a very long time to acquire one, and I didn't even get to use it.  The least you could do is tell me where you traveled with it."
"Secret," Zachary put his finger to his lips and covered them with his scarf again.  He leaped onto a tree branch when he saw the caravan getting farther away and waved goodbye to the witch.
Up above in the sky, flashes of color disturbed the night as witches cast hexes and rode on their broomsticks recklessly.  Astrid placed paper enchantments on the fence surrounding her cottage to protect it from any mischief and went back inside to make potions with the ingredients she gathered from the Little Forest days ago.

Kael continued to lead the way back to Astrid's place. It only took him once to remember how to get somewhere once he's been there. The night continued to grow darker as the moon seemed to shine brighter. Kael looked over at Alice to see if she was shivering from the cool night air when he suddenly heard something zip past them from above followed by cackling. He looked and saw a few wiches flying speedily over the town away from it. They were headed in the direction of little forest it appeared and a trail of different colors followed them. Strangely, it made a beautiful sight like a rainbow aurora borealis. Kael thought to himself, "I wonder if that's a normal thing to see at night."

(It's ok. I don't know how to code.)
