why am I not getting any subtitles when I watch my queued shows? I have subtitles when watching on ps3 and android, but not when I am trying to watch on my tv's web browser. it is android based so I don't see why I'm having this problem.

When you watch on ps3 and android, do you use the apps? The website uses flash which probably isn't properly supported by your tv. There are apps for a couple kinds of smart tv which might solve your problem.

It may be that the Flash implementation on the web browser doesn't include the function necessary to support soft subtitles. If you also don't see the "Exclusive stream for..." at the beginning of the video, that is likely the case.

If you do see it, and the Flash implementation on your HDTV's browser supports "right click" functionality, try using that on the video to pull up the menu that allows you to select the subtitle language.

If it doesn't, you'll be limited to titles with hard subtitles (usually library titles and those simulcasts subtitled by the publisher instead of CR. Those are part of the video, rather than an overlay.

Which TV brand and model do you have?

If the apps are Android based, can you sideload Android apps? Unfortunately, CR's current general Android app only supports 360p, so it wouldn't too great, but if it worked at least it would have subtitles.

2013 model 60" LG smart cinema 3d. I dont know about side loading, but as far as the quality being only 360p its fine for now as my current home internet is terribly slow. So everything i watch online is at 360p, atleast till they get the new fiber optic lines up and running. Sooooooo hope it gets done soon bc every time i see the buffering icon on cr or YouTube im like

I don't know if these are the correct model year, but would that be one of these two models?:

Depending on the exact model number, you might have other ways of getting CR on your screen. For example, according to the Amazon listing the 6200 supports WiDi, so you if have a recent Intel notebook, you might be able to wirelessly push the content on it to your TV with no additional hardware.

The LG should have Flingo's Launchpad app available, which should list Crunchyroll. The problem with this third party app is that it doesn't support login, so you end up only be able to view as a free user.

Unrelated, but if you go to Funimation's website with the TV's web browser, are you able to view the videos? They have a HTML5 player available for their videos, but it seems hit or miss on what devices it works with.

Sorry i forgot to specify that it is the plasma series not led. And yes i tried the flingo app and did not like not being able to access my queue. Also funimation's site does work and i go that route when watching some of their animes that arent available on crunchyroll.

What is the model number? It should be in the form of "60Px##00" or similar.

The user guide reveals it supports both Miracast and Intel's WiDi. If you by any chance you have a PC running Windows 8.1., this would allow you to use the TV as a wireless display, regardless of what chipset and x86 CPU it is using. Intel's WiDi may support older operating systems, but requires specific CPUs and chipsets.

Both are accessible via SMART Home > Settings > NETWORK > Miracast™/Intel’s WiDi

If you have a tablet or phone that supports Miracast, you may also be able to mirror the screen from the CR app on it to your TV.

I see it can store apps on a USB flash drive. If the OS is actually Android, I wonder if sideloading an app might be as simple as placing a .APK file on a USB drive and accessing via the "My Apps" screen on the LG.

The user guide states the web browser supports up to Flash 11, but as Flash is up to version 14, I wouldn't be surprised at it not working with the videos at CR.

Wow thanks so much for your help. You should change your forum name to The Ancient Master. I have the LG Optimus G smart phone and their tv remote app supposedly supports app loading but i have yet to get it to work. Ill try the usb app loading this evening to see if that works.
