Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate

Future Card Buddyfight

So, Cardfight!! Vanguard and Future Card Buddyfight. I decided to make this thread for both series because they're both Bushiroad card game animes and I think together they'd provide more activity/conversation.

I've always been a fan of card games so I naturally gravitated towards Cardfight!! Vanguard when it debuted. I had gotten bored of Yu-gi-oh! at the time and CFV provided a fresh new card game for me to try. I still like the CFV card game although I haven't played it in a while. As for Buddyfight, I decided to watch it since, well, it's another Bushiroad card game series. I'm not sure why I like watching card game series...maybe for the rush of nostalgia it gives me. I used to play a lot when I was younger.

Anyways, anyone watching any of these series? Do you play the card games?

I love Cardfight Vanguard and actually play the cardgame in real life. Currently running an Angel Feather deck as my main deck, with Solidify Celestial Zerachiel and Cleanup Celestial Ramiel Reverse as my boss Vanguards. I'm not really running any other decks at the moment, since I am dedicated to Angel Feathers. Though recently I've been thinking of making a Battle Sister Monaka/Fromage deck too...

I gotta say though, this card is godsent for my Angel Feather deck:

Being able to use Zerachiel and Ramiel Reverse's Limit Breaks at three damage can really disrupt the opponent's strategy early on, not to mention that a Break Ride at three damage is pretty amazing.

Ah, I used to run a Fromage deck. My favorite clan was always Oracle Think Tank. I used Angel Feathers for a bit too. Although back when I used it they didn't have much support so it's nice that they have all these nifty cards.

Then you're in luck because Oracle Think Tanks just got two Legion cards in Japan:

Battle Sister Jelly (Legion) + Battle Sister Pudding (Mate)
Goddess of the Treasured Mirror, Ohirume (Legion) + CEO Amaterasu (Mate)

Angel Feathers have yet to get their first Legion, so that makes me sad. I wish Rekka or Suiko would cardfight in the anime soon, since that should guarantee a new Angel Feather Legion lol. For now, I'm just looking forward to Spiral Celestial Helm:

As long as there's a face-up copy of her in the Damage Zone, she can get +5000 and +1 Critical for that turn. It's almost like the Majesty Lord Blaster of Angel Feathers <3

Hopefully tomorrow's episode will explain a lot. The new season has had barely any plot progression but last week's ep was a good change from that. Honestly, my theory is that

Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate - Episode 181

A bit surprised that Ishida actually managed to be the first person to beat one of the Quatre Knights. Guess that training with Leon paid off. Nice to see him getting better.

Future Card Buddyfight - Episode 26

We get our first look at Legend World in the show. Although, what really interested me from this episode was the introduction of cards that counter specific monsters. Didn't see Genma losing either.

Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate - Episode 182

Poor Miwa, can't catch a break. Feel bad he's the first one to lose.

Future Card Buddyfight - Episode 27

Power of friendship prevails over all. Such is the lesson most card game series teach us apparently.

Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate - Episode 183

And Misaka loses. Well, that's two of our heroes that have lost in a row. Things aren't looking that good for Kamui. On a side note, really want to try out Misaka's deck at one point.

Future Card Buddyfight - Episode 28

I was half-expecting to see another Hate card being used. The thing that caught my interest the most though was the next episode preview with Gao using Magic World.

Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate - Episode 184

Well, there goes Kamui. They're all dropping like flies now. I would not be surprised if Kai loses this fight. Wouldn't it be a hilarious plot twist if Ishida ends up being the only person that doesn't lose and beats every Quatre Knight himself?

Future Card Buddyfight - Episode 29

Yup, Gao ended up using Magic World. I think it's safe to say that he can use it just fine.

Kamui's theme song is pretty much my favorite from the show. I was disappointed by the match he had though. I know he has improved but he needs to do a bit better.

They are making the Quatre Knights a bit OP.

Theme is damn good. And it was kinda obvious that he was gonna lose. Kamui is good, but we all know Kai was gonna get the spotlight, and Kamui was not gonna beat Gaillard. Quatre Knights are way too OP.

Kamui has an awesome theme song. But yeah, I agree with the above post. They really want to focus more on Kai at the expense of the other characters it seems. Well, except for Ishida. Ishida is getting his time to shine.

Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate - Episode 185

Oh hey, Kai won. I guess the good guys had to win for once. That ending though...what will Aichi do I wonder?

Future Card Buddyfight - Episode 30

I am a fan of Shosetsu's Knights of the Round Table deck.

Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate - Episode 186

Yes, let the evil consume you Aichi.

Future Card Buddyfight - Episode 31

Drum finally activated his Buddy Skill. It's about time. Oh, and Shosetsu decided to use Dark Core. That should go well...

Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate - Episode 187

Moress couldn't handle the heat apparently. Ren and Leon arrive to save the day. Should be interesting to see what they've got planned. Who will be the one to defeat Aichi I wonder.

Future Card Buddyfight - Episode 32

Using the Dark Core never goes well does it? Well, looks like it's going to be another Gao vs. Rouga showdown next episode.

Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate - Episode 188

Should have listened to Ren, Aichi.

Future Card Buddyfight - Episode 33

Gao uses Dungeon World against Rouga. A lot of luck involved with that deck. Not gonna lie, I am a fan of luck aspects in card games. They're fun in my opinion. Naturally, Gao wins.
