Well, the latest manga I bought came with a little bit more loot:

To filter out the manga:
A Certain Scientific Railgun - Volumes 7, 8 and 9
Eden - It's an endless world - Volume 14 (Dark Horse is so extremely slow with the release of this amazing series! )

My Hunter x Hunter manga collection. Favourite characters, Chrollo and Komugi in the middle of the centrepiece.

I bought them in one go... kinda embarrassing... but they had a 20% off on all books in the store. So I just had to do it.

None, expect one or two Attack on Titan pre-orders.

Just wanting to say this, but the majority of light novels are... without substance. All they are is dialogue, mainly, with pictures every so often. And not even good dialogue. It's just there. I guess the plus side is they're really easy to get into, but that's also their downside in a way. Still, they do have interesting concepts... some of them. They're just... boggled down by less than stellar prose. This is partially due to translation, language barriers, etc. but also the light novel author his/herself.

I dunno, I think I'd find any author but one who writes light novels more appealing, personally.

Haruki Murakami is a great Japanese writer. He writes short stories, novels, etc. I think you should check him out if you're looking for an interesting Japanese writer. He's very well known, too.

Anyway, you can probably find a fan-translation of Beyond the Boundary somewhere. Can't say where, as I can't link that stuff, but it's out there for sure (hint: I know where to find one).
