1. Hmmm ... maybe a language teacher ? I`m fluent in speaking Filipino though I know a lot of people would prefer Japanese .
I could do a litte bit of that too , the simple once `cause my sister has ' How To Speak Japanese ' books and a Japanese - English dictionary . Copy and Paste ? :sweatingbullets:
2. Why ? It seems like fun . ^-^ Also , I`m in CR right after I do my homework and I spend a couple of hours doing nothing anyway .
3. Random idea ? Uhm ... ask random active users what they love and do in CR aside from watching videos ? Interview thread reporters or ' mini mods ' which someone has called them . =S

EDIT : Edit , again ... boredom truly kills . >.> I figured I should edit 4 because ... I felt like it . =/

4 . Let`s start with the basics , shall we ?

How To Count in Tagalog :

1 - isa -
2 - dalawa -
3 - tatlo -
4 - apat -
5 - lima -

Colours :

White - puti -
Black - itim -
Pink - rosas
Green - berde -
Blue - asul -

Greetings :

Kamusta
- Hi / Hello / How are you ? [ This usually depends on the sentence . If asked , ' kamusta ? ' it`s ' how are you ? ' or ' what`s up ? ' If stated or with an exclamation , ' kamusta . ' or ' kamusta ! ' , it`s ' hi . ' or ' hello ! ' ]
NOTE : Filipinos often just say hi so this is more ' how are you ? ' than hi .

Magandang Umaga
- Good morning

Magandang Tanghali
- Good noon . [ Yes , it sounds weird . This is usually said during noon , 12 pm . ]

Magandang Hapon
- Good afternoon

Magandang Gabi
- Good evening

Family :

Nanay , Inay
- Mother or mom . [ ' ina ' means mom also but used usually in an indirect sentence or when talking about a mother .
' Ako ay isang ina . ' means I am a mother . ]

Tatay , itay
- Father or dad . [ ' ama ' means dad also and like ' ina ' ' ama ' usually in an indirect sentence or when talking about a father .
' Ama mo ako . ' means I am your father . ]

Ate
- A term used to call an older sister or a female older than you . Similar to ' nee-chan ' or ' nee-san ' .

Kuya
- A term used to call an older brother . Similar to ' nii-san ' .

Tita
- A term used to call an aunt .

Random Facts :

- Do you know how to count in Spanish ? Chances are , a Filipino can understand you while you`re counting !
- Some Filipino words are derived from a Spanish word or one itself .
- Filipinos wear slippers called ' tsinelas ' .
- In Philippines , there are only 6 years of elementary school .

---

Yes ... I guess I`m content with this post now and ... less bored .

1.Article Writers [rants]
2.I love to write my opinions on..hmm..everything! I have written for my school newspaper too, but not as an official writer, rather--a back up [sad isn't it]. I love Crunchyroll and I would love writing for it, just give me a topic and I'm down.
3.Since I can't really create an avatar (no photoshop ]=), I can give idea's, can't I? I was thinking we can combine St. Patrick's day and the onigiri by making the avatars background green with little onigiri like clovers. As for the March '08, we can write that out in bold writing with the regular Onigiri where the "0" is in "'08"...how's that?
4.I just wrote this out right now, so, it's not really that long, and I should vary my sentences, but oh wells, I may not even get this position =/

Rant: Who Need's A Bajillion "Buddies?"

My routine: wake up, school, come home-Crunchyrollin Time! I start by checking my notifications (or as I like to call them, noties), then I visit my friends pages and then the forums. I am one of those types of people who likes to choose my friends rather than be chosen. So, when I see a random person's page filled with atleast 300 buddies, I feel sorry for those people on that list who are ignored and thrown to the corner of the buddy list. Why so many friends? Do the Crunchyrollers on this site even know those people? Last time I heard, you have to talk to a person and get to know them before they are even considered a friend. One click to accept doesn't mean you just made a new friend, it means you just gave access to a random stranger to talk to you (stalkers are born this way!). i get add requests everyday and when I see that the person had like 4 bajillion friends, I get turned off and automatically click reject--followed by the "aww..." page, which is kind of cute.=]

I wonder what's the use of all those random people as "buddies" when they won't be there to back you up in tough times. Is it a trend to add people who are probably 50 years older or younger than you as friends? Is Crunchyroll becoming the new Myspace? I hope not.=x Nevertheless, who knows, some Crunchyrollers may actually talk to all of their friends, but how long can they keep that up? What do you talk about after all is said and done? What if that random "buddy" and you don't even have anything in common?? What do you do then? After seeing that the friend requests weren't going to die down, I wrote a small note to future requesters, telling them exactly how I feel. I don't need friends that will leave me to wallow alone in their buddy lists.I have better things to do..like homework(yes, thats right, homework is more important than being friends with strangers!). Crunchyroll is filled with people who may or may not be good people. Why should I take the chance and add a random person who may or may not talk to me? I'll say now what I say to everyone else, don't add me, I'll add you.

1. a language teacher.

2. im a Filipino and im also learning Japanese.. i could teach bit by bit.
i could start from basic vocabulary, pronounciation since this is essencial. and then vowels then proceed to the basics like introducing self then numbers. i could give them practices and can also give tests to see how far they have learned.

il give sources too in how to speak Japanese.

i can also give Filipino and Cebuano lessons.. Cebuano is another language also found in the Philippines.

3. i was thinking about putting Bible verses.. im a Christian but this could be big trouble for atheist viewers...but it is an idea.
we could also put nice quotes for the Onigiri... well thats me.. i am kinda boring sometimes.

4. heres an example of the possible things that i might teach:

Japanese Romanji:
Useful phrases:

...wa nihon-go nan desu ka.
= what is it in japanese?

..wa eigo de nan desu ka.
= what is it in english?

nan desu ka.
= what is it?

O-namae wa?
= what is your name?

Shitsurei shimasu
= pardon me for interrupting

Loan words
- the japanese language has been influenced by other countries over the senturies. most of these loan words when pronounced can be determined.. reading this however in Romanji will be a bit hard so this will be a bit tough not hearing someone about this.
note: i shall capitalize the letter if it is to be pronounced longer.

here are some examples:

uisukI- whisky

kEki- cake

aisukurImu- ice cream

tEpu rekOdA- tape recorder

sutereo -stereo

note: in pronouncing these loan words. pls keep in mind that there is no L sound in Japanese. instead this is replaced with R.

so if you are having a hard time pronouncing this. just 1st pronounce it with an L sound instead..

here are examples for you to get it.:

television ----becomes---> televi -----> terebi

i could also teach in Cebuano and tagalog:

# --- cebuano numbers ---- tagalog numbers:

1--- isa --- isa

2--- duha ---dalawa

3 ---tulo ---tatlo

it is kinda similar but cebuano has a more hard pronounciation.

vocabulary: >greetings<

good morning ----- C: maayong buntag ---- T: magandang umaga po

good afternoon ---- C: maayong hapon -----T: magandang hapon po

good evening ----- maayong gabi-i ----- magandang gabi po

note: the "po" in tagalog is esencial since not saying "po" is disrespectful..

cebuano culture however "po" is not really used since respect in speaking is detected in the tone.

Second Time typing this T_T (I for got to join the group before I typed it first)
1. Language Teacher
2. Um...yeah. I'm fluent in Japanese and I feel that I could teach the users of crunchyroll a little something. It pisses me off when I see Japanese used randomly where it makes no sense or wrong in the forums and user profiles. I seriously want to yell at them if you can't use the words right, don't use them at all. So I would like the opportunity to teach the users of crunchyroll the correct Japanese language and maybe a little bit of the culture.(Also some japanese net speak)
3. Maybe have a contest for a new logo. Like what shinji did with the winter logos.
4. www(lollollol) クソスレ-kusosure (stupid, irrelevant thread)
sekuhara wa ikemasen (sexual harrasment is not okay)
I guess I should put some basic Japanese phrases you would need to know to survive in Japan.
*Caution I'm only writing how you would pronounce them not how you write it in romaji
Kore wa ikura desuka? -how much is this. They'll usually reply with a "Kore wa _yen desu"
Doumo arigatou gozaimasu- Thank you very much
Sumimasendeshita- I'm sorry excuse me (usually said to a higher ranking person in the office, elders, polite form of gomennasai)
Dono densha ni nore ba koko e ikemasuka?- Which train should I ride to get to this place?
Kippu wo ichi mai kudasai- May I have 1 ticket?
Hajimemashite watashi wa _____(insert name) desu doozo yoroshiku- Hello nice to meet you my name is (insert name here)
Konnichiwa- greeting (at noonish)
Ohayou gozaimasu- greeting (at morning)
Konbanwa- greeting (at night)
Numerals
Zero,Rei- zero
Ichi- one
Ni- two
San- three
Shi- four
Go- five
Roku- six
Shichi- seven
Hachi-eight
Kyuu-nine
Jyuu-ten
now to get numbers 11~99 you just combine these words together
ex. 22 nijyuuni ni+jyuu+ni
ni-2
jyuu-10
ni- 2
so that translated would be 2 tens plus 2
ex2. 85 hachijyuugo hachi+jyuu+go
hachi- eight
jyuu- ten
go- five
translated it would be 8 tens plus 5
numbers 100~100,000,000,000
hyaku- 100
sen- 1000
mann- 10,000
oku- 10,000,000
chou- 100,000,000,000
Basic Colors
Aka- red
Ao- blue
Kiiro- yellow
Midori- green
Kuro- black
Shiro- white
Chairo- brown
Momoiro- pink
Murasaki- purple
Kin- gold
Gin- silver
Haiiro- grey
Orenji- orange
One last thing this is probably the most important thing about writing Japanese sentences if you speak English, informal Arabic, Finnish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Khmer, Russian, Bulgarian, Swahili, Hausa, Yoruba, Quiche, Guaraní, Javanese, Malay, Latvian and Indonesian remember Japanese is a SOV language. Not SVO.
SOV- subject object verb
SVO- subject verb object
ex. I eat pizza Subject verb object
pizza wo taberu (I pizza eat) Subject Object verb

(1.) Language Teachers

(2.) I am a Filipino too but currently also learning JAPANESE and i wanna share my learning to others too..maybe in near future I'm gonna be a Japanese fan subber...

(3.)How about we advertised by putting it in video comment or probably wat the majority said new logo when look at the logo kinda looks boring though...there's no feelings or like emotion and needs to be more lively..

(4.) Here aer some words and some phraises i have learnt..

First thing i have learnt..

This is an old Japanese saying, "Ichi-gatsu wa iku, ni-gatsu wa nigeru, san-gatsu wa saru (January is going, February is running away and March is leaving)." It is kind of a play on word as the first letter of the name of the months and the first letter of the verbs (iku, nigeru and saru) start with a same sound. It indicates that the first three months of a year pass quickly.

Titles:

The Japanese commonly address each other by last name. Only close friends and children are usually addressed by first name. In addition, people rarely address each other just by name, but usually attach an appropriate title to the name. There is a large number of such titles depending on the gender and social position of the person you are addressing. Some of the most frequently used titles are:

san: (for example Sato-san)
This is the most neutral and famous title, and can be used in most situations. Only in formal situations, san may not be polite enough.

sama: (for example Sato-sama)
This is a more polite form of san, commonly used in formal situations and letters, but too polite in a casual context.

kun: (for example Yusuke-kun)
This is an informal title used for boys and men that are younger than yourself.

chan: (for example Megumi-chan)
This is an informal title used for young children and very close friends or family members.

sensei: (for example Sato-sensei)
This is a title used for teachers, doctors and other people with a higher education and from whom you receive a service or instructions.

Here are some expressions used to apologize.

Sumimasen. すみません。

It is probably the most common phrase used to apologize. Some people say it as "Suimasen (すいません)". Since "Sumimasen (すみません)" can be used in several different situations (when requesting something, when thanking someone etc.), listen carefully to what the context is. If you are apologizing that something has been done, "Sumimasen deshita (すみませんでした)" can be used.

Moushiwake arimasen. 申し訳ありません。

Very formal expression. It should be used to superiors. It shows a stronger feeling than "Sumimasen (すみません)". If you are apologizing that something has been done, "Moushiwake arimasen deshita (申し訳ありませんでした)" can be used. Like "Sumimasen (すみません)", "Moushiwake arimasen (申し訳ありません)" is also used to express gratitude.

Shitsurei shimashita. 失礼しました。

Formal expression, but it doesn't show as strong a feeling as "Moushiwake arimasen (申し訳ありません)".

Gomennasai. ごめんなさい。

Common phrase. Unlike "Sumimasen (すみません)," the usage is limited to apologizing. Since it is less formal and has a childish ring to it, it is not appropriate to use to superiors.

Shitsurei. 失礼。

Casual. It is mostly used by men. It also can be used as "Excuse me".

Doumo. どうも。

Casual. It also can be used as "Thanks".

Gomen. ごめん。

Very casual. Adding a sentence ending particle, "Gomen ne (ごめんね)" or "Gomen na (ごめんな, male speech) is also used. It should be only used with close friends or family members.

2- Simple. I just love writing stories and I enjoy letting my friends read them.
3- Dating Section? Well, i just realized that people on CR are also into online dating. I think it would be wonderful for single individuals to find their ideal partners through this section. What do yah think?
4-

A Lie

"Happy 1st month anniversary, dear," whispered Dianne to her boyfriend Mike's right ear. "I'm really glad we've gone this far and I hope we'd be together forever."
"Yeah," replied Mike and hugged Dianne even tighter, "happy 1st year anniv and im hoping the same thing as you do. I'm really honored that a very lovely lady is happy with me."
Dianne painted a big smile on her face. She loved how her boyfriend Mike held her in his arms. She was deeply in love with him like she had never loved anyone before and would absolutely do everything for him. But despite of that, she was still doubting Mike's love and loyalty to her.
"Mike?" uttered Dianne softly. Mike looked at her and raised his two eyebrows. "Can I ask you a few questions? And if I can, please answer them honestly."
"Sure baby," said Mike and gave Dianne a kiss on her forehead. "What would you like to ask me?"
"Nothing serious really," replied Dianne while formulating her first question to ask him. "Do you think I'm beautiful?"
"You're as lovely as the sunset that we're watching together right now."
"Do you think this relationship will last long?"
"Of course, if you wont break up with me."
"Would you like to marry me someday and be a good husband to me?"
"Why wouldn't I? You'd be the best wife in the world."
"It's been one month already. Why arent you still saying "I love you" to me?"
"Because it's not the right time yet. I'm still waiting for the best opportunity to say it to you."
"Thanks for answering my questions, dear," said the satisfied smiling Dianne. "You really make me so happy tonight. I wish we'd stay like this for the rest of our lives."
"You are very welcome, my sweet angel," Mike said and kissed Dianne's hair. "Any more questions, hon?"
"Have you lied to me?" asked Dianne nervously and her smile fainted.
"No," answered Mike, "not even once."
Dianne was relieved and glad since her boyfriend never lied to her. She felt too much happiness and excitement. So she decided to let Mike do something for her.
"Then tell me a lie right now," said Dianne eagerly.
Mike paused and didn't speak for almost a minute. It was like he was thinking seriously of a lie to tell her girlfriend. When he had finally thought of something to tell her, he opened his mouth slowly and whispered...

"I love you."

-the end-

its a very short story. i was supposed to make a story longer than this. but since i still have to do a lot of things and i really wanted to submit an application today, i did this one swiftly. anyway, thanks to the Onigiri team and more power. keep up the good work.
