Have a roku and trying to watch sailor moon and the english subtitles will not go on and I have read some threads about this matter but I have tried all the solutions and still none worked.
Also, I keep getting an error code on it that says "Operation could not be completed due to one or more missing values."
help please??

Having no subs on Roku for a few minutes to a couple of hours after a show is available is normal. Just keep checking back for them.

Not sure about the other error though--I'd probably back out to the main Roku menu and go int the cr channel again, then try again.

Why is this normal? It's frustrating.

This error only appears when you try to replay something from the history stripe on the Roku. It's a (not very well) known bug. You have to choose the show from either your queue or a search, or browsing the menu, just not from "Recently Watched", as that never works. Maybe it will be fixed whenever they get the new app released...

As for no subtitles, I wouldn't go so far as to say it is "normal" that happens, but I would say it isn't an unusual occurrence. Devices have subs that have to actually be hard-encoded. This means that for every language and every resolution, a separate file must be created and distributed to all the CDN locations. So if materials just barely arrive in time to get the web version going, then it will take longer to get oll those encodes done and in place. It's not CR's fault when this happens, it is because the supplier didn't prepare ahead of time and send anything early enough to allow for that.

I personally watch and wait for two dots to appear because lower resolutions are smaller, and they finish faster. So even if you see translations, I'd say to wait for the second dot before watching. Sometimes if I'm really hyped to watch something, I'll just go to the web page, but most of the time I have other stuff to watch and the wait of (usually) an extra hour or less doesn't really bother me. After all, the thing only says "same day". It's just the Web version that happens to get done first because subs are soft-coded there and don't have to go through the extra machinations.

Well, I wouldn't say it is normal, but every so often I think they have a problem loading the subs on one or another of the video outlets, including Roku. It gets fixed pretty soon, though. What takes longer is the odd time when they load the wrong language version of subs.

Not that you need subs to understand this first episode, if you know the old show. But it is no good for new viewers, and I hope it is fixed now or soon.

Update, one dot appeared with subs. Shouldn't be long now for two dots.

Edit: Two dots! And the OP is even subbed. Now that's unusual.

I'll add to say that I find it more common lately that upon a release of an episode, the subtitles are missing. It is usually sorted out later on... usually what I do is check my phone and see if the episode is available there. Typically if I check when Roku has no subtitles it's not available on the phone app (android).
