As far as taste goes I would have to say "Not Bad" (imagining this in a Big Boss voice) but I wouldn't say it tastes good either.

I've been known to eat insects with mates "coz it's funny". But other than that yeah i would definitely consider eating insects if i was hungry, let alone starving/low resources. It does seem like a huge waste when we have massive locust or grasshopper plagues and everyone complains about all the plants that are destroyed while we are shoveling tons of dead insects into bins. But in case nobody noticed almost all plants and grains have insects in them. Broccoli flowers usually have small black insects in them, rice often contains insect eggs, as does walnuts. So yeah...

It's gross imo but that's just the culture I was raised in. I don't think I would ever enjoy eating insects.

We definitely should be eating insects, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. At some point we'll have to eat them though, so there's nothing wrong with it.

Hate to break it to you but there are a lot of disgusting things in this world. In fact, if you didn't already know lots of fruits and vegetables have insects/bugs in them. Whether they be minuscule insect legs/waste/body parts etc. Also, did you know that most of the dust particle you see in your house is really actually mostly dead skin particles? So yes, most likely you've probably had someone else's skin down your throat. Oh and oh yea. All the skin you see on the outwards layer of a person is dead skin. Oh and most of the water we drink/use originally was our shower/poop water. They get sent to a cleaning facility where filtering/bacteria (and many other proceses clean the water) helps make the water like new. However, that doesn't change the fact that it was originally dirty water if you think about it.

Lots of things in life are disgusting if you really think about it. For example, we (THE USA) give billions in humanitarian aid to help other countries, but at the same time we probably spent 10x more to create WMD's to kill people. Ironic don't you think. We're probably one of the biggest countries to donate money in terms of humanitarian aid. Yet at the same time we are also one of the biggest countries to "kill in the name of good" (lol if only killing in the name of good was such a thing, killing is a sin/evil as is). Sorry if I got off topic.

Anywho if you ask me, I'd probably be reluctant to eat bugs too. However, if it tastes good I'll eat it. One thing I would not do is eat it alive.... Then again no one eats anything alive haha.

By the time bugs are widespread as a source of food, we'll probably have a much more efficient way to process them so they're more palatable. We're obviously not going to be eating whole bugs, that would be silly. But yeah, if people knew about the practices behind the agricultural and farming industries in America they would probably think twice about eating some of the things they do.

I could see adding bugs to the menu. Course at the same time I also feel that Dog, Cat, Horse, and many other animals need to be added to the menu. Variety is the spice of life.
