I don't understand why people are so picky about what they eat. If it is good for you and it tastes good, who cares how many legs it has? Geez.

Without watching those videos...

What we eat definitely affects our resources. We use a A LOT of water, fossil fuels, and land to commercialize farming and make it more efficient. It takes even more of those resources to produce beef and other meats. Corn is in almost everything. It's the very reason why a cheeseburger at McDonald's costs $1. The government gives tons of subsidies to farmers for it.

If we were to switch to eating insects (which is extremely improbable), it would only prolong fossil fuel use and alleviate our usage of land and water. It wouldn't solve world hunger because nations are too greedy to give a worthwhile fuck about other nations. Coal is plentiful and cheap for electricity production. Oil is versatile in creating a plethora of products. We would still have a demand for resources.

Eating insects is repulsive to a lot of people despite their nutritional value and wouldn't be profitable for the greedy partisans running America.

People seem to enjoy eating lobster and such well enough and that's basically a giant sea bug that probably lived and breathed its own shit before making it to the table.

Well I'm sure like most it would be pretty hard for me to transition into eating insects, my mind has already been set to be grossed out by them. Maybe if I were desperate for food or something during some cataclysm..

Technically we already eat bugs every year maybe not whole bugs that's 100% in our knowledge but, there are bugs mixed into our food like Peanut Butter.
