KIds on the Slope is amazing! There is not enough appreciation for that show! I've met a lot of anime fans but none of them seem to have watched that show! I, also, know Beck, though, I didn't watch the anime, I read the manga. Do you recommend the anime?

I may or may not have bawled my eyes out several times during Kids on the Slope. Absolutely amazing. Everything about it was beautiful.

And yes, I recommend The anime of Beck over the Manga for one reason; you get to hear and feel the music. The whole story is about how much music means to their world and how they're all connected to it in some way. To actually be able to hear their music, hear the struggles, hear their sets they play. It totally changed how I felt about the series. I read the manga first and really enjoyed it. After watching the Anime I fell in love with it. It's probably my favorite to-date.

Fruits Basket changed my life. It helped me realize a lot of things and, without trying to brag, made me the wise person I am today. Also Maid-sama. Why Maid-sama? It changed me in a more indirect way and really got me hooked for life on anime. Because of that I joined tumblr and have become a much more kind, and accepting person than I was before. I'm so grateful to that 6 foot senior with the Sailor Moon backpack. You changed my life Sailor Moon guy!

I'm too lazy/airhead/carefree to even think anime so much to let it affect be and to actually focus on changing my life

I stared drawing because of Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo though.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this anime... But My answer would be Gungrave. I had gotten to the point where I could pick out things hidden in games, anime, and movies. Like, "Oh, well obviously she's the Princess." Shows for a while were just way too simple for me, things got frustratingly predictable, like writers stopped trying. Then I watched Gungrave, Could not predict a single thing that happened, and it got to the point where I was crying multiple times every episode... And I don't get that emotional too much. It's a good one. Also love Hunter X Hunter, just about everything in it blows my mind. How even lame sounding powers can be executed with unerring efficiency. How there is no strongest Hunter, it's how you use your abilities that will win you the match... Wow, that was long.

(For people who don't want to read a lot...)

Gungrave and Hunter X Hunter.

Clannad, or Clannad After Story in particular has changed my life forever.
It has learned me to see the beautiful things and to care about the smaller things in life.

This Anime is in my opinion the closest Anime to emulate the real world.
I love this Anime so much.

I second this, really.

Fruits basket definitely impacted me. Full Moon wo Sagashite was life changing as well. Both are very deep, heart-wrenching animes. Love them!

Fairy Tail - this anime changed my perspective of friendship, it was this show that made me realise that I took friendship for granted and I know now that I really shouldn't have.

Durarara - okay this one would be difficult to explain without explaining too much. This anime made me understand how you don't need to be perfect to live a good life. Everyone has their flaws and it's impossible to be perfect.

Clannad After Story and Anohana changed my life lol My friends thought it would be funny to throw me into the deep end from the start. Hate them and love them for it.

I have to agree that "Clannad After Story" had a strong impact on me as well. By no means did it "change my life" and I don't believe I've seen an anime that has yet to do that. "Clannad AS" had reaffirmed in my mind, the dangers of brash decision making in young adults. Getting married before you have the financial means to even have a wedding. Delivering a child at home against the physician's recommendation when the mother was known to be quite weak. The dangers of alcoholism. Choosing to stop working a steady job to take care of a sick child, when there were grandparents willing to look after the child. The list goes on and on.

To the people who said Kids on a Slope; you are probably SoL fans and if you haven't watched Honey and Clover do so immediately.
