Will you follow blindly any order you were given!!!!!!!

must you always follow and carry out that order!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
in this hypothetical situation.............
you were told (ordered/commanded) to Literally nuke a city a kill off approximately over 7 million ppl
and then let another 3 million die slowly
and your being told its for the sake of humanity
and say if you don't listen your family will be killed
or you would be made King of the country
or given 13 trillion dollars or something
for doing it
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

you don't have to use that situation

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
for me if i was given an order that would conflict with my morals and value
i simply will not follow even if i become the world most wanted traitor
if i must turn into an emiya kiritsugu (form fate/zero) i will lol
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

i have been reading a lot of manga that have this conflicting nature

+ watching anime

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EDIT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

i left this vague for you wiggle your way out of it any which way you want

When there's no right or wrong, fork over the cash after I obliterate an entire civilization.

I'd nuke the people who gave me that order, and steal the 13 trillion.

it depends where your values are so it's an iffy question at best because it's really based on personal preference.

personal preference also plays into how people view whats moral or immoral. in underdeveloped countries they think it's alright to pick pocket but if they were to get cheated on they might see killing as being a justifiable means.

I'd only ever do something if I agreed with it and felt like doing it, never because some jackass told me to do it.

I'm more interested in a person's ability and integrity, knowing well that they will be accountable for either the death of their family or of 10M faceless strangers. Given the rewards of kingship or $13Tr are enticing, I can't decide whether a person who sends 10M to their deaths is qualified for leadership in terms of difficult decision making, or a prime candidate for the guillotine. The pressing of button to nuke a population just facilitates the decision.

"Success is the sole earthly judge of right and wrong" - AH (it sure isn't Aldous Huxley or Alexander Hamilton). So really, it's a question of what you want but...

"...it is the greatest happiness of the greatest number that is the measure of right and wrong..." - Jeremy Bentham

I would follow an order, but only within reason and adherence to my convictions and some autonomy. If told to execute women and children, or unarmed prisoner, I'd probably march them off into the woods and fire a shot into the air, knowing that I can get away with insubordination. Otherwise, I'd blatantly refuse. I suppose German mission-type tactics is sort of where I'm getting at, follow orders to the best of one's abilities and judgement.

I choose the third option. Nuke everyone, including me, the ones ordering me around, my family, and other bystanders.

I'm the type who cave into pressure (not sure why I wanted to say crave, lately I'm getting a lot of words mixed up).

So yeah, I cave into pressures and orders. Especially when I have a lot to lose.

If. I have nothing to lose though, I would do my own thang.

If the order went against everything I stood for, then I would absolutely defy that order. If it were as simple as doing it for the sake of humanity, then I would follow through, since it is the lesser of two evils. The needs of the many over the needs of the few.

I will obey any lawful order coming from the person placed in command of me. If I am issued a lawful order from any other superior which either conflicts with my standing orders or requires my commander's judgment prior to proceeding, I will check with said commander prior to obeying it. If I am given the go-ahead in that situation, I obey the order. If I am not, I don't.

The point is that orders aren't absolute, but lawful orders obtained from legitimate authorities must be obeyed.

Kind of a hard decision if they tell you "if you don't do it we'll kill your family", I would say no if they offer me money or the crown as the king of the world (who cares about that, this is no dragon ball lol) but to put 7million people over my family is a no-no for me...I don't care about being a hero, killing one person is just as bad as killing millions so I will choose to save my family...then again, someone who tells you to do that could be lying and after you do what they say they could still kill your family...if they give me the weapons to kill 7million people, I would kill those who gave me the orders instead even if I die trying...if they want to kill someone, they better do it themselves... mutherfukers.

So no, orders are not absolute to me if they endanger my family or myself (and even strangers). I will brake the law or order if I don't agree with it.

There's never much of a moral dilemma involving acts of genocide, it's always bad all the time. The only thing that matters is if you can live with yourself if you were to pull the trigger, so to speak.

I can't say there's much to say or do about the 'or we'll kill your family' thing, anyone who uses that threat, would go through with it anyway; irrespective of you doing exactly what you're told or not.

As for whether I'd do it, if there was some kind of pay involved... There's plenty that I won't do regardless of what's being offered, although genocide I'm fine with, if the price is right. I am a terrible person.
