BEFORE WE GET STARTED! yes! i am more than WELL aware of how many laws are broken in anime and im TOTALLY fine with that, it's anime! i don't care lol!

BUT, what i am talking about, is when someone gives information, and then that information is completely contradicted later on in the series or even that episode!

so basically, you can share either your favorite just in general law of physics being broken moment, or a time when the author contradicts their own words.

now this basically being a science discussion and none of us here (for the most part) possessing a master's in physics lol, id want to encourage debate on anyone's topic/post.

but i will start, basically, i just watched Tokyo ghoul.. which by the way had a fantastic first episode, can't wait for more. BUT, there was a point when in the background (spoilers now, will try my best not to reveal stuff but i will hide it anyway)

Those hairstyles where I ask myself "How the hell do you put up your hair like that?"

The size variations. In order to represent a great threat, they grow in size when charging at the hero. This is used a lot in Manta, and was really common in the 80s and all the action anime. Fist of the North Star and Jojo both use it copiously. Here is picture.

My guess is a lot of hairspray, hair gel, style gel, and having the patience to make it look just right.

One of my favorites is the total height of some characters can jump in an action anime. For some characters I understand that they have "superhuman" powers, but earlier on in the same series they needed to climb/get thrown/needed help to go up half the distance they can now jump.

Definitely the 7th level 5 ESPer's power.

Or, you know,
when a character falls onto the floor and gets up like nothing happened.
If a human attempted most of those,
they'd definitely end up unconscious.

The whole 'If I throw a punch at this guy in battle it won't make him budge, but if I do it for comic effect when he's peeping on me it will smash him into a wall' logic.

Various fight scenes in shounen animes. Anime usually defies the laws of physics.

I mean, running in water... wtf?

Look at it this way: Chain mail would prevent you from being cut or stabbed, but it wouldn't do anything to prevent you from being crushed.
