Has to be Toradora. Golden Time just couldn't keep watching too plodding.

Golden Time filled my Oreimo urges, now I need some time to recover but I'll try Toradora next.

They are both good in their own right, with Toradora! being a really good highschool rom com, and Golden Time being a *more realistic portrayal of actual relationships. It really boils down to which you perfur, which for me would be Toradora! Mainly because it was more fun to watch, but also because Golden Time's ending felt a bit rushed to me, and I like Taiga more than I do Koko.

There is no need for me to even think about this. Toradora! was superior to Golden Time, in my humble opinion. I could watch Toradora! over and over again (and have, as a matter of fact, several times over) and still laugh and choke up at the same moments. GT, on the other hand, I doubt I will ever watch again. But as most people have said, it really boils down to a matter of preference. But for me, Taiga FTW <3

Golden Time. I'll keep it simple: I just found that I liked the characters a lot more for whatever reason. They're both good shows, though.

how about, his and her circumstances?

getting tired of toradora this golden time that.

Aw that's perfect but I've already seen that, really hooks you in with how un-maiden like the heroine is lol.

I enjoyed Golden Time a lot, but I'm actually going to go with Toradora. It's kind of strange, really. I sincerely admired Golden Time for being brave enough for going with a concept that didn't revolve around a tsundere girlfriend, and going with kids who weren't in highschool, yet I like Toradora more despite Taiga being a tsundere in highschool.

A lot of it comes down to execution. Taiga was the only tsundere who didn't severely piss me off, and while Koko wasn't as annoying to me as some other people found her, Banri and his breakdown's and ghost dilemma's really annoyed me. I mean, I get that he wasn't in control of it, but boy was it annoying to see his two conflicting sides constantly ruin everything as he turned into a whinny emotional wreck.

As far as endings went, both felt a bit forced, but I won't ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen them. Both shows appealed to me for different reasons. As for Golden Time, if you dropped it after 11 episodes, I wouldn't say you should pick it back up since you seem to have spent more than enough time with it to form your own opinion on whether it's for you.

Damn I've seen that all along this thread lol. Wanted to know if it picks itself up because I once asked that in a thread about the Tokyo Ghoul manga when I was 20 chapters in and going to 64 was honestly worth it for me. I'd go through any horrible story as long as it as an epic reward at the end of it... unlike Oreimo, that ending just.. really confused me, and Kirino frustrated me beyond belief.

Toradora! /thread

Sorry that cam across as pretentious of me, but it's like trying to compare Clannad vs Air. Even amazingly talented writers often have trouble recapturing lightning in that bottle.

Nah that's understandable, I asked cause my friends keep telling me that Golden Time is really good and I should stick through it. Thought I was being biased with my view and when I tried to Google it there were way too many discussions that had spoilers.

And a side note, I actually watched Golden Time before Toradora!

Also, I found out at the same time I posted this thread that they're by the same author LOL

I vote Golden Time. Because 2D-kun.

Though GT does become painful to watch as the series progresses. I hurt for the characters.

Hahaha that was literally the reason I got up to ep 11. The first ep I really liked it's extravagant intro of the heroine but when 2D-kun debuted, I was hooked. Wish he was the MC tbh lmao :/

Oh yeah, Oreimo ending was quite the disaster. Hell, it didn't even bother me that he took the incest route, what bothered me was Kirino was such a bitch that I couldn't see what Kyousuke saw in her. Completely ruined it. While neither Toradora or Golden Time have endings that unsatisfying, I'd definitely say they're both shows where, much like Oreimo, you're in it for the journey and not the destination. As for who ends up with who, it's kind of expected, but at the same time one feels too forced, and the other
