❧Lenora Wakefield
Now why is there a village here of all places? Could be a way home, though...
[ open rp, feel free to quote c: ]

Lenora heaved a sigh as she combed through her hair, tangled and muddy from the storm and from walking through the forest for most of the day. Troubles just kept piling up for Lenora, her feet ached and her canteen was almost out of water, not to mention that she had no recollection of how she ended up in the forest in the first place. In need of a break, Lenora rested underneath a tree and closed her eyes for a moment. She opened them again and saw something she hadn't noticed before; the forest ground began to resemble a path. Thinking that this would lead out of the forest, Lenora jumped to her feet and followed the path... over a bridge... and into... a village? Although some of the buildings were covered with ivy, Lenora could tell that the village was not abandoned.
"Hello?" she called, looking around for any of the residents. "I lost my way, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I am?"

"Psst!" whispered a voice from seemingly nowhere. "Hey, the pretty girl with the blonde hair!"

The bushes and trees seem to move and it's truly impossible to tell where it was coming from.

"HEY!" The voice screams louder, trying to get her attention.

❧Lenora Wakefield
Where is that voice coming from?

Lenora kept walking towards the center of the village, but her head whipped around when she heard a voice. She looked around, trying to find the source of it. "Yes? Is anyone there?" she asked aloud, then wondered if attracting the voice was a good idea after all. A village this remote, it was a possibility that the residents were cannibals or killers... Trying not to think of negative thoughts, she shook them off. "Please come out. I won't hurt you if you won't hurt me."

"That's a good question, really." the voice says.

There's a small chuckle and then a sigh.

"Turn to your left and walk to that tree, okay? I'm sitting on one of the branches, you should see me fairly easy." The voice says.

The leaves and the branches of the tree that the voice was talking about begin to shake as if someone was doing it.

(I don't mean to be rude, but could you make that font a little bigger? I've got a 32 inch LCD TV for a computer monitor and the smaller words tend to run together. )

❧Lenora Wakefield
Please don't be a cannibal.
[ Sure, no problem! I'm usually on my phone when I rp, so don't notice how tiny it may appear. Is 12px better?]

Lenora did as she was told and walked up right under the tree branches, peering upwards. She saw the movement of the branches before her eyes spotted the person, and a few leaves fell, adding to the ones already tangled in her hair. "Do you live here?" she asked the person sitting on the branch.

Suddenly someone steps beside her and looks up into the tree, apparently as curious as she is. He has long black hair, green eyes and is a bit taller than her. He looks up around the tree, and then back at her. Acting confused, he raises an eyebrow at her.

"Who are you talking to?" He asks, nonchalantly.

He is apparently the owner of the voice, he stares at Lenora with his eyebrow raised, waiting for her answer.

(yep, that's a whole lot better. Thanks.)

❧Lenora Wakefield
Thoughts;
But wasn't his voice coming from the tree?

Although not one that usually gets frightened, Lenora jumped back, putting some distance between her and the man. She has her hiking staff pointed at him in a clumsy attempt to defend herself, but recognized his voice belonging to the invisible person she had been speaking with earlier and lowered it. "What?" Lenora whispered, and glanced up at the empty branches, then back down to the stranger. "How did you manage that?" she questioned him. "I was speaking to you, wasn't I? And you said you were in the branches..."

Somehow in the time she looked at the tree and then back at him, he had disappeared again. All of a sudden, he pops out of nowhere, hanging upside down from one of the branches. His black cloth overshirt was hanging behind him, making it look like he was in front of a black cloth screen like they would use in a movie set.

"How'd I do what?" He asks..

He smiles innocently and studies her face, he hangs with his legs wrapped around the tree and crosses one arm under the other and hold his chin with the other hand, as if deep in thought.

"Yep, you were to yours truly." He says.

❧Lenora Wakefield
Thoughts;
Do I even have a family to go home to if I ever make it out?

Startled yet again, Lenora fell backward when the man appeared out of nowhere. She stayed sitting on the ground, unable to keep up with his "disappearing" acts. "Nevermind," she mumbled in regard to the method he used to go from one place to another in the blink of an eye. She had other pressing questions to ask. "My name is Lenora," she introduced herself and stated her plights. "I woke up this morning not remembering how I got in the forest, and I ended up here. Can you tell me where I am, or where I could find the authorities?"

"I was just messing with you, Lenora." He says.

He retains his thought pose and looks at her.

"Authorities?" He asks.

He throws his head back in laughter, and shakes his head.

"There are no authorities here, beautiful. It's only people like you and I, and the people who inhabit this village. Everyone who comes here has no memories of their past or who they were. You said you woke up this morning? How long have you been out there? It is night you know, and it's been raining all day. However, the storms have passed here for the moment." He says.

He holds his index finger up for a minute and disappears into the tree. A few seconds later, he falls out and lands on his feet, with virtually no sound. He walks up to her and sits across from her, his somewhat thick overshirt flowing around him and down to his ankles. He smiles at her and rests his head in his hand.

(Tut mir leid, I had forgotten to tell you that it's night and there's been thunderstorms. We're doing a thing where it's going to be night or day in every thread and the weather is going to be the same. the time it takes to turn from night to day and vice versa is 8-10 pages)

Thoughts;
...

[ Oh really? Thanks for telling me. ]

"I hadn't really noticed the difference of time changing," Lenora noticed. "The canopy of the trees made everything seem like nightfall, and it protected me from most of the raindrops. I started walking in the morning, or so I think it was morning. Maybe it was a later time." She furrowed her brow in confusion and mirrored his actions, placing her elbows on her knees and resting her chin on them. "I'm sorry, I don't understand. You mean there are others like me, who have no memories? Are you one of them too? May I have your name, then, stranger?"

"Well, whenever you got here, you must've been walking a while. Are you sure you didn't see any of them in the forest? They're so loud you could hear them without trying!" He exclaims.

He yawns and stretches before falling backwards into the grass, he sighs and raises his head to look at her.

"You are fairly cute, I'm surprised no one tried to stop you or anything." He says.

He stretches again and sits up and nods at her when she asks her questions.

"Yep, I am. I've been here for a while though, don't remember a damn thing. Well, I lied.......I remember all my skills and my name, but then again that's all I really remember. It's not much, but I can survive and protect myself. Speaking of which, are you prepared to use that staff? You should be, this place is a bit strange." He says. "My name is Jin by the way."

(Yep, kind of a cool idea, actually.)

Thoughts;
...

[ Sorry, this might be my last post of the night. ]

Lenora shook her head. "I didn't encounter anyone else, Mr. Jin, and I doubt my looks would have played a part in that. You're the first person I've seen since I've woken up." She picked up her hiking staff and held it horizontally on her lap. "It's only a hiking stick. I don't think it'll do much damage. I found a Swiss army knife in my pocket as well, but what am I protecting myself from, pray tell?" Was this place really dangerous? Lenora wondered what would have happened to her if she had met a violent person on the way here. She was fortunate to have met Jin, he seemed friendly enough. "You must know what you're doing if you've managed to survive for a while. Why haven't you tried searching for a way home?"

"Just Jin please, there isn't any need for formalities." He says.

He smiles and shrugs, looking at her.

"Some of the people who come here aren't the nicest people, they would kill you for whatever you have in your pack. Especially if they're lost out there with no food or supplies." He says.

He points out behind her towards the forest, which seem ominous in the moonlight.

"Your pocket knife isn't long enough to do any major damage, but you could always beat someone to death with your staff." He jokes.

He smiles at her after his joke, and raises an eyebrow at her question about home.

"There isn't one." He says, nonchalantly. He pauses for a moment to let his words shock her. "Or at least I haven't found one yet. Not that I remember where home is really, maybe if we remember then we can go? Not too sure about that one, honestly."

He shrugs at her and looks both ways, checking for others before he leans in really close.

"I've been here for 1 or 2 weeks, i don't know really, I've lost count. But there's weird things happening here, the people here seem oblivious to anything but what happens around here, didn't pay me any mind when I first came here after surviving in the forest, but there's also some other places. A HUGE mansion on the other side of the forest, seems like it's lived in, but I never went in. Didn't have a good feeling about it, so I left after I watched it for a while. Then there's this city, looks like an ghost town, everything is dead there, didn't have a good feeling about that either. So eventually I ended up here, but while I was in the forest, there was some weird things going on."

He reaches into his undershirt and pulls out a medallion with what looks like either a Chinese or Japanese character on it.

"It says Jin, if you were wondering. I found it hanging on a branch in a tree. Just dangling there, waiting for someone, probably me to pick it up. That might not be as strange, but here comes the strange part., I was sleeping in that tree and It wasn't there before I went to sleep. It somehow appeared. I only noticed it because a ray of sunshine happened to pierce the canopy and hit it just right., It's also has this emblem on the back, maybe for a clan or family. I don't know, I've had visions of someone in the forest. An old man, and he only appeared when I didn't remember a skill or something. I've had strange dreams of a blonde guy sparring with me in a dojo and different fights I don't remember, maybe things from my past." He says.

He falls silent and leans back, smiling at her.

"Pretty crazzy, huh?" He asks.

(Alright, good night!)
