Cops are only half allies of justice.
The other half is an ally of textbook political madness and unforigiving insanity.

Due to some new laws placed on Canadian roads if you travel 50 km above the speed limit you can be charged with street racing even if you aren't. 8 points, Maximum Jail time: 6 months and your car gets crushed......My very first car a 1979 Camaro i took out for the first time in 8 months is now a pile of scrap metal......I got 2 months that's why i haven't been active lately also lost the license for a year.... I got pulled over once for doing double the speed limit (110 MPH) on the highway but he only wrote on the ticket doing 30 over (85 MPH) because I was wearing a very little dress pulled up because my civic is stick. The ticket was $385 but I took it to court, he didn't show up and it was dismissed.

Another time, I was racing my Lincoln against a Cadillac doing 95 down 67th in Hialeah (Common street in Florida) on St. Patrick's Day drunk and a bit **** and the cop took forever to stop me. Thankfully, I got saved cause they didn't give me a breathalizer and they didn't check my car. Plus, when the cop asked me what I was thinking, I told him the truth. I said he pulled up next to me revving up his engine so I took it as he was trying me so we started racing...He just looked at me and smiled. No ticket, no search, no nothing.

I think I have a problem...I can't drive unless I'm breaking some kind of law...

Oh well! Image

Police funding and rewards for street racing were increased by over 2 million i believe this last year.

They've even tried cracking down on sanctioned and legal race events, so after you finish your stuff, once you're driving out with your track timeslip, a cop's waiting for you around the corner to bust you for modded exhaust and etc. etc.

after all, sub-11sec slips and 'street legal' just don't exist in the same sentence, lol.

Nowadays the only way you'll be legit is if you know the event is cooporating with the police so the cops promise NOT to mess with u unless u do burnouts or something.

Cali has the most legitimate racers and enthusiasts, but also one of the largest amounts of ricers and street racers.

Damn, thats a shame. I started just hauling my mod car on a trailer instead of driving on the street. It is the best way not to get any probs. But that is really retarded and pretty low of cops. The sad thing is, with all my cards mods, its actually probly safer on the street than most cars as it can maneuver, or speed up to avoid problems 10x better than most street cars. I even kept all the mods clean and accurate so even when doing big pulls i still wont spin the tires.

Best way is on a trailer. If possible, one that's closed off on all sides. Most cops' point of view is: "why would you modify a nice car from the factory if you WERENT trying to race?" stupid, but indeed it's the many who pretend to be 'racers' that cause such stereotypes to be considered true.

A little while ago, I got a ticket for going 46 in a 45 zone. Also was pulled for modified exhaust, body of car too low, and a "street racer package" lol.

cop: "I could tow your car right now if i wanted to, but because you weren't jumping through lanes i'm letting you slide!"

me: "Officer, how come i'm being cited for going 46?"

cop: "Do you know what a speed limit is? A LIMIT."

cop searched me, had me sit down on the curb with my legs out and crossed with hands to my sides or in front, and he searched the car (lol).

Judge dismissed the speeding violation and the body of car being lower than lowest point of vehicle rim was dismissed by the CHP inspection, exhaust got ref'd and passed, and car was deemed as "just an audio shop vehicle". Image

OMG man, that sucks even worse. The sad thing is, they will even pull you over and say you are "street race modded" just for have a sports package which actually comes with the car when you buy it from retailer!!! My dad has a 98-99 BMW M3, and he gets ticket all the time, and its just so rediculous because the tint he has on the BMW was legal when he baught the car "retail" with tint optionial, But like a year later they adjusted the legal "Limit" so now his tint level is illegal. Also the
"Sports package" that the car had as a optional service gets him caught alot, which is so stupid because its all retail sold from a legal dealership.

Yup. G35's and 350Z's get pulled over all the time because police don't believe the way that engine sounds is 'natural' or that it shouldn't be 'so loud'.

If it isn't a muscle car, it shouldn't be loud or powerful. Their views at least.

I was about to get pulled over.

I was listening to my iPod while driving, when a cop in a police car drove next to the side of my car, making faces like these: Image Image Image Image Image Image to put down my earphones down.

Before that happened, he was driving in front of me, but he suddenly drove very slow [note: cops drive more than the speed limit, even it's not in emergency. They should be role models, not above the law. sheesh. falcon punch.]. I was like, "this is weird." That's why I also drove slow behind him. It took a distance of like 6 blocks when he finally decided to switch lane, drive slower, and go next to my car to tell me what's up. xD
