Hello everyone!

I noticed the topic "Friend zone"in general discussion and wanted to start a discussion related to relationships. To try and keep the discussion from becoming "Friendzone 2.0" I want to say that "It doesn't exist" and move on. I'm curious from your experiences, which gender asks someone out or expresses their feelings first? "Historically" most guys are the ones who make the first move or thats what most people tell me. I wondered what would be the ratio to men asking women out compared to women asking men out. Ladies, do you normally wait for the guy to make a move? If so, why not mix it up and ask someone out? Or guys, do you ever wait for someone to make a move on you and has that worked out much?

To start off the discussion, I was bad at reading hints and my first girlfriend eventually had to confess she liked me because I couldn't tell. Fell free to share your stories!

i just do it xD. Idc for signs; if i like someone i tell them. There is no point in beating around the bush; if you dont take a chance or a risk, your never going to get anywhere in life. No girl/guy, will ever fall into your lap.

I tried to tell him in preschool and got denied, it was humiliating. I never told I guy I like him since, except my sisters....
It really depends now, if he takes more than 1-2 years than I would tell him. But that hasn't happened (yet).

my first relationship at 12 was more like setup since my bestfriend was going out with the bestfriend of this other girl. All four of us hungout one day and some kids saw us together from there they just assumed we were going out too so I went up to her and said "we might as well go out" and kissed her lol I guess I made the first move?

I was never interested in a guy enough to ask him out, so it's been guy first for me.

Ahhh, well for me it depends! I can definitely appreciate a guy who's charming and direct about his feelings. Of course it's always flattering to have someone admit they like you or ask you out. But I'm also a little impatient, so if I've been talking to a guy for a while and he hasn't made a move, I'll usually just come out and ask him to coffee or something.

Is it wrong that I just wait for a girl to show me signs before responding?
- I'm male.

Hahaha, I dunno! It's good and fairly affordable I guess! Plus, you can't really do anything else besides sit and talk to each other. Sometimes I'll invite them to dinner or lunch too.
