So far the ratio for me is 1:3 (1:5 if you count someone trying multiple times), I'm pretty oblivious and even when I do notice I think too much about finances and time management. I rarely make the first move but that may be changing in the future since I now work a trade; my finances are trending upward. I no longer work around any girls so there is no way someone confessing to me will happen again, it is all on me now if I decide I am ready for it.

At some point I will have to ask how would I accomplish this, I really only have interest after I have gotten to know someone. People around keep telling me to go out to bars (even though I didn't ask or even bring up the subject at all) but I don't think I can really get to know anyone in some smoke chamber filled with music so loud I can't hear myself speak.

(and I will now take my leave and shower as my hands are still covered with copper 2 oxide, why do some people still insist on copper water lines?)

Ahhh, well for me it depends! I can definitely appreciate a guy who's charming and direct about his feelings. Of course it's always flattering to have someone admit they like you or ask you out. But I'm also a little impatient, so if I've been talking to a guy for a while and he hasn't made a move, I'll usually just come out and ask him to coffee or something.

interesting..why coffee tho? lol

Hahaha, I dunno! It's good and fairly affordable I guess! Plus, you can't really do anything else besides sit and talk to each other. Sometimes I'll invite them to dinner or lunch too.

shouldn't we be the one's paying for dinner lol I mean we are "GENTLEMEN" right?

Always been asked out my entire life, mainly because i'm not that kind of guy that asks girls out, unlike it is portraited in Animes, it always feels awkward and mildy intrusive to ask a girl out in real life.

Nahhh, guys shouldn't have to pay for dinner. I mean if you're a guy and you like to do that, cool! But usually for like the first few dates I insist on paying for my own stuff. Sometimes guys argue it and reallllyyyyyyy push paying for it, and when that happens I'll just let them, but yeah. I never assume anyone is going to pay for my stuff.

Because coffee is safe. It's non-committal. If it turns out she doesn't really like him, she can say "Well, we only met for coffee," as a reason to turn down a second date, and if she does like him she can say "Can you believe it grew from only having coffee together!?" It's a perfect idea for a woman's duplicitous nature.

Or, I guess she could just really like coffee.

I'm that quiet guy in the back.

That guy who keeps to himself.

Guy who don't care much.

Who doesn't seem interested.

I'll take the second move just in case things don't go so well.
