So I pretty much only read CR manga on my Nexus 7, because it's normally a pretty great device for manga reading. But lately the CR manga app just hasn't been getting the latest chapters. For instance Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches is up to chapter 117 on the website yet only 115 is available through the app. They used to always been in sync and there doesn't seem to be any logic or reason to this. Some series are further behind than others.

Does anyone know what's going on here?

I don't know the full story of what's going on, but there do seem to be some problems either with the app itself or the backend data for it.

I've moved this over to the Manga Support forum, which is a better place for getting answers and collecting symptoms to report.

Well they fixed the problem last week, but the same thing's happening again this week.

Yup...I don't get. I don't remember this being a problem in the past, so what changed? It doesn't seem like a single chapter of has been updated in the app for this week (at least none of the ones I read have).

Hopefully they fix this problem soon. I don't have a computer anymore so i can't read chapters from the website.
If it goes on for another 2 weeks I'll cancel my all access and go back to the anime membership. No use paying for what i can't use.

I had the same problem last week and I'm having it again now.

Last time it appeared to be resolved when I cleared all the data from the app, uninstalled and then reinstalled, but that could have been coincidence and it could have been fixed on the server side at the same time I was doing that... When I have time I'm going to repeat the process (tried just uninstalling/reinstalling and that didn't fix it) and see if that fixes it again.

This is on a Nook Tablet HD+, so I don't think I have access to developer tools. Might have to try on my phone and see if I have the same problems.

Update: Installed on my phone and it's also missing the same recent chapters, so I've got to assume it's a server side issue, which makes me wonder if anyone is seeing the newest chapters. I wish we got more feedback from the developers or had a proper way to report issues rather than posting to forums, and could see when they were resolved.

Came here after trying the expected restart, relog, clear data, and reinstall on my HTC One. This really needs looking at, especially as the apparent fix last week doesn't seem to have stuck.

substitutemyown: I really think this is a server-side issue. Meaning nothing you do to your phone is going to matter. And I'll keep thinking that until somebody can provide some evidence otherwise.

But if it is server-side that also means there's nothing we can do until CR fixes it. I really wish there would be more communication about this issue...

UQ Holder 42 finally updated on the app. Not entirely sure about the other series as i have been away from the internet for about a week. Every now and then finding a signal to check the app.

It seems like we got two weeks of stuff this week. So it's good that the app has caught up, but who knows what next week will bring...
