What is love to you?
Posted 7/9/14 , edited 7/9/14
Love has many different meanings and how people describe it varies just as great. I would like to hear how those of you that are part of the CR community define love, and more specifically, romantic love.

How would you define romantic love and what are your views on it?

How would you describe the feelings of falling in love with someone?

What are the things that you think about when it comes to the person that you're in love with?

What should you do when you find yourself falling in love with someone whom you know you shouldn't? Employer, family members spouse, a "bad" person, or your therapist for example.

If you hate the concept of love share your reasoning for that as well. This doesn't have to only be a lovey-dovey conversation.

I looked and I might have missed it, but I did not see another thread like this.

Love is a remedy for personal desires.

What is love.

I know what it feels like to like someone.

But I haven't gotten that far to love.

Because I used to be an obsessive infatuated twit who chased after the boys with flowers.

... That wasn't love.

A figment of my imagination

Love is suppose to be unconditional but in reality it is not. People interpret love to fit their own personal definition at the point in time in which it is convenient for them.

I'm just saying everyone's definition of love is different, everyone's degree of love is different and as people mature (hopefully people mature) their understanding of love and relationship changes over time.

So what's my answer of love=an emotional journey of happiness, joy, laughter, twists, turn of events, loop d loops, awes, wonders, and mysteries into the unknown...........LOL

If you go to dictionary.com, it seems you have to go all the way down to number 13 to find the correct definition: "a score of zero; nothing".
That's my opinion on romantic love, anyways. Non-romantic love I would define as compassion, empathy, and altruism.

Yuri is Love, Yuri is Life!!

OK so seriously now:

Really love differs I think person to person. There is no universal definition to it I believe. Sure there are things people expect/is the norm for love.

For me... I don't think I honestly have given 100% of my love to anyone. Sure i've been in love, and sure i've been interested in people. But there were always things that stopped me from being 100% committed to it.

I am sure there is a thread about this already. People are always making threads about love but...oh well.

To me...love just sucks. It's great at the time but when it's gone it just ruins everything. The happier you were and the more deeply you were in love the worse it gets when it goes away. Hate is so much easier to live with.

Damn, I wish I knew. I mean I don't hold back in what I say about how I feel(unless trolls) so I'd cut right through the bull and tell you straight up.

Unfortunately I've never fell in love so cannot say.

all in millimeters romantic.
