mod update:

This started off as personal request for help/advice, but there are so many great answers here and this does come up often enough, that I'm leaving it open as a place to share opinions about and discuss your experience with sites like Funimation and Hulu, but not limited to them.

If you use, or have used, another legal anime streaming service, and want to share info about it, please post here.

Isn't it easy enough to just drop Hulu temporarily and try the other one out for a month to see?

Opinions are also good too, though

Hulu's going to charge me soon, and that's why I wanted to see whether it's good to cancel or not quickly

I'd cancel just because it's Hulu personally. I really can't stand the idea of paying for something online and still having to sit through ads.

I got used to the ads, though I still don't like them
But I would really like to know if all the anime available on Hulu (subbed), is also available on Funimation?

To be honest, Funi does not have the most organized and easy-to-find-everything website

From what little I know Hulu has everything Funimation has but Funimation would not have everything Hulu has since Hulu, I believe, grabs anime from more sources than just Funimation.

I also heard Funimation has a terrible player and site.

I'd say yes, Funimation. Once you get used to navigating the website, it's actually a pretty good service.

I think Hulu is really good (: You can watch anime the day it comes out, instead of waiting a week. I'd say FUNimation is just as good as Hulu.

I just recently subscribed to Funimation. I would recommend it, with a couple caveats:
The interface sucks. It's nowhere near as pleasant to navigate as CR. On android, the app doesn't even number the shows, which is annoying. (I only have free app tho, still don't know what $10 app is like).
In my opinion, the sound is EQ'd poorly. Or something. Music too much louder than voices.
Anyways, it's a pretty wide selection, and on Roku and ESPECIALLY Android, the video quality is noticably higher than CR. So I think it's worth it.

It really depends.

If you pay for Hulu, you're mainly paying to be able to watch stuff on something that isn't your computer. However, from what I've seen Funimation stuff does eventually make it onto Hulu.

Personally I just stick to CR

Funi has dubs though, but I don't care about dubs or like new dubs, except for dragon ball kai.

Hulu I hate and despise, with a passion, a deep burning passion, like a thousand supernovas.

I say yes. I had the same debate myself but I realized that there are alot of North American localization companies besides Funimation and this just helps support them all at once.

But that's just my opinion

Isn't Funimation just a stream from Hulu? The Funimation site though could use some work and a cleaner design but the video feed looks exactly like Hulu's.
