Before I found out the real reason for Hulu pulling down Psycho-Pass I wrote their customer service to ask why it suddenly disappeared. They finally got back to me today and they lied… They said their contract to air it expired, so they had to take it down. Do they think I'm stupid… the Re-edit is a simulcast. C'mon guys at least be honest.

I doubt they lied, since Funimation is the company that places it on Hulu. If Funimation doesn't do so, then Hulu has no license.

You should have contacted Funimation and asked them why they no longer place those episodes on Hulu.

I think that butchering art is WRONG. I understand now airing the dismemberment episode in Japan due to a real-life murder, but to pull it from streaming sources? Wrong, wrong, wrong!

Sorry for this old bump, but CR recently added this Funimation-subbed series, so it is new for me.

On episode 3. Enjoying it so far. A little "too cold" for my blood, but the time, scenarios, and characters are fun so far.

*sigh* Well, as much as i like this one, i have to ask: why there has to be an extented version? Thankfully, it's only 11 episodes long as far as i know so i don't have to waste too much time. Funimation is out of the question again because of stupid region lock (can't blame for that). And i still have to watch 2nd Season (despite the rumors how messed up it is) and the movie. Damn me.

It is just the original series with two episodes at a time combined (so it takes the same time as the original to watch it). There is a (very) little new material in between to take up the slack of removing the intervening ED and OP, but sometimes it may provide an extra insight or two. I wouldn't specifically seek it out unless you really want to watch the whole thing again, or just can't live without seeing the extra scene in-between.

I had happened to wait before starting this series at all, so I watched it with this version instead of the original. If you had never watched it, you might as well get the extra bits and skip the original.

All right, thanks!

I have it paused in the middle of ep. 7 right now, while I work on more of my essay. I was happy with the philosophical approach, but now they are chaining philosophy after philosophy. A little heavy on the mental masturbation. I hope that subsides. It is probably less agitating heard than read.
