Poor guy. He handed over his outfit to the police to prove that he didn't mean any harm. Guess he can just make another.

Well, it's better to be overly cautious and ruin someone's fun than ignore an actual assassin who would end up killing many.

Well there go my dreams of walking around town dressed as the Stig.

Some say he was arrested under the suspicion of creeping into German houses... and killing children in their sleep. And that his cell-mate was a fictional assassin. All we know is he's not the Stig, but he is the Stig's Arabian cousin.

I think this is one of those situations where someone gets in trouble for doing what he loves.

But if he dressed as Hitler and walked around he would be saluted.

Cosplaying as Hitler or anything remotely Nazi-related would cause an even greater uproar in Germany or Austria. Hell, it would even piss off most people in Canada. In fact, I think wearing a Swastika is considered illegal in Germany, Austria, Canada and several other countries (not that I care because I think political correctness is a bunch of nonsense).

As long as he wasn't carrying real weapons I don't see the problem, but there's a time and place for cosplay, it's not a good idea to just wear a costume around whenever cuz you will draw a lot of attention to yourself.

Poor guy. I hope he didn't pay too much for the outfit.

Cops would have probably shot him instantly if he was dressed up as Teemo.

Fan who dressed as a character from the Assassin's Creed video games sparks terror in German town where locals feared he would kill
As fear spread of roaming assassin, parents kept children home in Rottweil
Police launched a manhunt for the games fan as pictures spread on Twitter
One Twitter user wrote: 'I may not kill all of you, but I'll kill as many as I can'
Police finally arrested 25-year-old after he turned himself in and apologised
He said: 'I am a huge fan of the game, and I just really like the costume and wanted to wear it'

People fear everything

This... is just comedically stupid. I can't believe people would mistake a man in cosplay as a mass murderer. I mean, seriously? Their children can't sleep? Whose fault is that? On top of that, the costume looks poorly made from what I can see. Why would a mass murderer wear synthetic fabrics when he could use human skin? JK JK JK XD

Either way, they over-reacted.
