The queue is great for managing anime you are currently watching but this still required you check the website if the show is release or memorize the release dates for each anime your watching these season. This makes me feel like i could miss a show if i don't keep checking or more often i come to the site to check if anything has been release and spend a good while just looking to see if anything has be released.

A fix for this is to include a RSS feed for user's queues (like the all videos RSS feed but for your videos). This will let users manage their RSS feed as they either drop or pick up new shows as the season progresses. In the future it would also be a good idea to add manga to this feature as you can follow a ton of different manga and sometime it is hard to keep track what has been release.

I find it hard to believe that this feature hasn't been asked for but i was unable to find anything in this section talking about this. Sorry it this has already been suggested but this in my opinion is a very useful feature that helps me keep track of the show i watch with a simple RSS add-on that just shows me a number when my anime/manga is ready.

You can follow individual shows with RSS, but having something done by your queue would be pretty hard to program.

In general the URL for RSS is the show page URL followed by ".rss"

For instance, if you want RSS notifications on Rail Wars, the URL is:

http://www.crunchyroll.com/rail-wars.rss

So if you are following 20 shows, you have to have 20 rss feeds set up in your reader.

Another option is to follow the Recently Added Anime Videos /feed, and simply filter the shows you're interested in through your RSS reader (it should have this option).

My reader doesn't have a filter like that, but maybe that's because I'm using the "free" version of it... Not really a problem for me using the "all videos" feed though, since I watch near enough to everything that dismissing a few here and there doesn't really bother me. I only mentioned the individual show page feeds because those aren't common knowledge, and I don't think that they are explained anywhere on the site. I only found them because my reader displays a + number when it detects a possible feed on a given page, so I happened to notice that show up recently, and thought, huh, that's weird...Although now, that I look for it, I do see the RSS icon in the lower right of each show page...

Edit; Meh... After further testing, the individual page rss feeds aren't so very useful, after all... They don't tell you when the new show itself comes up, they tell you when a new "black box" placeholder is added, sometimes days before the actual episode is slated to appear. So that's probably more annoying than not being notified. Looks like the "all shows" RSS link is the only accurate, and timely, notification system after all...

CR has a feature that will e-mail you with queue updates, but frankly, it is essentially useless. Back when I watched simulcasts week to week and had it turned on, I would often get an e-mail, look it at, and say to myself, "I watched that episode 2 days ago".

That said, you might want to see if any of the feeds listed on the following page (such as "Recently Added Anime Videos") would suffice:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/feed
