Post Reply Random stops in streams and skips to the next episode in the middle of an episode

Sometimes It really gets frustrating when you have to refresh the page 1-4 times watching a single episode and even more frustrating is that sometimes the episodes end in middle of the it and skip to the next one. I have done all setups the way it's instructed on the site and I have 100/10 mbs fiber optic Ethernet connection so 1080p should work just fine ?. I'm using chrome as my browser. If you have any idea how I can stop this from happening please help it's wrecking my nerves when I try to enjoy anime.

I'm having the exact same issue, trying to watch dog & scissor
I can't watch the rest of the series because it keeps doing the same thing on the same episode
I've tried changing from 1080p to 720 and even lower. But the same episode keeps messing up.

I'm using Chrome and tried Firefox and IE

Your measured Internet speed isn't the only factor in your connection with CR. Do you experience the same on 720p or 480p?

Yes It doesn't matter what quality it is just that the lower quality ones don't do it that often.

Same issue, 480p, 720p, 1080p same issue for about 2 months on any resolution it pauses, freezes, I was very satisfied with the service but these last 2 months of watching a slideshow has gotten old, if this isn't fixed one day before my renewal date, I'm canceling.

I don't think they care. This site is run by a bunch of amateurs it seems. Have had the same problems for months (stuttering, skips to another episode, etc). By this point I still pay to support the anime industry but I wish there was a better alternative to CR.

I really like CR and want to support the industry, but this just sometimes just gets on my nerves.. I hope they will fix it someday

I've been having the same problem recently. Anymore it does at least once a day. Hell, there were two episodes of Magi that I just couldn't get more than three seconds into until it skipped to the next episode. Even when I tried to watch the episode the next day, it still did it.

Yeah, I'm personally having that same issue as well. Would be nice to know what is causing it or a way to prevent the problem all together >.<

For the past week every anime i watch keeps skipping or lagging, I know my internet is working fine but its really frustrating when i get the climax of an episode and i cannot enjoy it. Anyone have any solutions? I cleaned my PC and restarted it but i get the same result. Im really hating this

im using a PS3 and my connection is fine, i tried netflix and it works perfectly, i started using this service about 5 months ago and loved it for its quick upload of new shows, however! im not ok with the lack of response to issues and/or the inability to admit that this is an internal issue, the service is struggling and its going to be canceled friday if its unfixed, speaking for myself and a group of 6 of my friends who use crunchy roll to keep up on shows. none of us are pleased with this recent issue (first time looking at forums clearly not as recent as i thought)

This issues had been going for almost 1+ year already. I have the same problems that all of you have.Of course i contacted CR and after back and forward with them (basically them shifting the blame) for months i finally gave up.
It is Not going to get better or fixed.
First was "test this test that",then after showing that it wasnt me ( or as many many had already stated not us) they stopped communicating with me.So then after "ranting" in here the only excuse they could come up with, was, and quote bjaker:

" At this point there are unfortunately no further steps that we can take to resolve your issue. Operations has all of your test information.

However, we would like to let you know that issues you are encountering have been known, and we are actively working on multiple solutions to provide you a better streaming experience in the future. We are currently working to enhance our Flash Player, so as to remedy the playback problems described.

We are also adding additional CDNs to help provide more robust serving, and a physically closer servers to your PC for when you do stream our content.

Our Operations Team is hard at work to bring you these enhancements in the near future, and we again appreciate your patience as we work on improving your connectivity experience. In the meantime, if you have a mobile, console, or set top box device you may experience better connectivity when watching our content through a Crunchyroll app.


That was on 10/24/13....yeah still waiting.....

So the excuse is we cant do anything cause we dont have servers close enough....yeah...
I can even stream 4k video but CR always will mess up,its not us its you CR.
Good thig my Sub its about to end.

I am on a premium membership trial and countered this issue with almost every other video I play.

I have seen posts dating years ago with the same problem and found no solution.

I wanted to find a good legal way to watch the animes I like. I wanted to pay for the shows to support the industry. But the lack of support and commitment from this website does not help. I could have allowed adblock to run on the site and enjoyed the shows without ads right from the begging but I wanted to give you my money and you did not want it.

I will cancel my membership trial and take my business elsewhere

Also, allow people to have the option to stop auto renewal for memberships. Making it harder for people to stop the payment make you seem insecure about the services you offer. I guess you should be

I know I shouldn't be complaining or butting in, but I have the same issues (I'm on a trial). I've found that it used to run really smooth, lately its really dragging and I mean so bad that at times I can't even watch SD/460p version.

I might be the only reason, but what is the issue? is it the amount of server usage or is it the flash player. It is relative for myself because I'd like to know a few questions.

1) Is the lag due to a bandwidth usage?

2) Is it the new flash player?

I believe it might be the bandwidth usage as sometimes I can't play 420p but I get better streaming from 720p.

I've noticed it's been steadily getting worse over the last 3-4 days, regardless of platform (like some piece of hardware is slowly going bad on their end). If you haven't already, you may want to report the issue using the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the screen... I don't know that will fix the issue, but if enough people start reporting the problem maybe they might get somebody to look at it.
