My first car. It was a total hunk of junk, but when you spend years talking sweetly to it... begging, pleading, caressing... whatever it takes to get it to start. You definitely feel sentimental, like you were having a relationship with it.

I got this really small bunny statue from a girl I looked up to when I was a kid (she lived a few houses away), and I accidently knocked it to the floor and one of the ears got broken. But we fixed it with glue.

A few years later my best friend broke the other ear, but glue fixed that too.
The ears still have scars, but the bunny is still alive to this day. Kinda. The statue way.

One of my dogs tore up the cover for one of my Sailor Moon VHS tapes....and he chewed the corner of the booklet for one of my favorite PS1 games. They're not things that are irreplaceable, but I was extremely upset.

I had this ring that I always wore because it symbolizes my ever lasting love and promises I made to myself to always find a way in life and keep fighting through whatever stands in my way.
I wore it everyday and sometimes forgot to take it off because it was that important to me. One day my ring turn up missing because I left it by the sink before I left somewhere. I had a hunch it was in the garbage disposal....sure enough it was Dx
I got it back but it was all scratched up and looks like it lost it's value. It was a stainless steel ring. The ring was fine but looks like it went through hell and no longer serves the purpose of symbolizing anything. I just wish I didn't leave it anywhere ._.

The external appearance of the ring isn't what matters. What's important is what that ring symbolized. A true symbol can never be destroyed! In fact, the ring is now an even stronger symbol. Often times in life, we will go through "hell". These hardships may leave you damaged (like your scratched ring), but as long as you don't let them destroy you, your efforts were not in vain...

Half of my bench vise broke, but I plan on welding and cutting a steel half rather than a cast iron one.

My GameCube is starting to break down after about 13 years. Eventhough I have a Wii, I'm still going to try to get it working. If not, I'll just cherish the memories.
