Why I'm such a NEET?

I'm in the same situation, but don't fret man, we're all in this together.

Well it always makes me feel better knowing that I'm not alone in this predicament.

but then again I am rather cheerful and emotional and I also have plans.

And if plans fail, who cares try again I say.

I'm going to be honest, I'm kind of impressed that you made it to 24 without a paid job. I don't have a clue how one does that. I'm only 21, and the only reason I get to be a NEET right now is because I saved a bit of money and then quit my job (this is something I've done twice now).

The girlfriend thing...meh.

As for why you are the way you are, I don't know you and therefor cannot comment. All I can say is, I wish you the best!

Life's not a competition. Nobody's keeping score. You're not a failure. You can't fail at life.

I've had a jobs before. They suck

And girlfriends suck sometimes too. But you can easily change that bro! It's up to you, but posting on CR won't change a thing.

If you look it at like that, we're all going to die, so we're all doomed to fail.

Why do people consider not having a partner a failure? Sometimes being with someone isn't that great

Go around your local town handing out your CV in shops, while looking happy and presentable.

Get a girlfriend who watches anime. Then all your problems will be solved.

Don't worry. I am the same here. I don't hang out girls because it's weird. Anyway, once you find a girl you like, you should definitely ask her out. Give a try.

I disagree, Online forums like these should offer support and constructive advice for members "stuck in a rut". We are a community after all

To the OP

Trust me, with this globalized economy, your story is not uncommon at all. Personally I blame the criminal banksters with their money corrupting political figures.

That said, the time for pointing fingers can come AFTER you fix your situation, which is NEVER too late to do. you just have to put the effort in and TRY to stay positive.

Still better than being a Japanese shut-in. Japan is a very advanced country but their job system is like early 1900s America's.
